“Good choice in downtown Chico”
This is what used to be called the Thunderbird Lodge many decades ago. It's been modernized and is convenient and clean, good value for the money. The breakfast (included) was a real plus compared to the motel across the street, there was no need to use the restaurant next door for breakfast. Well done!

This is a recently renovated property. Very nice and great location to downtown Chico. Within walking distance to CSU, shops, restaurants and bars. We were pleasantly surprised with the large size of the room and all the amenities including a refridgerator and microwave. We visit Chico quite often and will definitely go back to this hotel.
“Highly recommend, conveniently located, Clean and Updated Hotel”
Room was clean and updated. I felt comfortable and safe. Parking was kind ample in front of my room. The continental breakfast was okay however I did notice a waffle and pancake place next door. I was full with the bear claws, granola, yogurt, boiled eggs, and sausages. Room had a fridge but I can't remember if it had a microwave. I slept very well and would recommend. It was pretty good for the price.
“Quality Inn Chico”
This hotel took over the spot of an older establised Chico hotel, the "Thunderbird" It is brand new and done in very good taste with great color used in the rooms and outside. It is located in downtown Chico and that is what I was looking for due to the nature of my visit to Chico. A great breakfast in the am & definitely more than a contintental breakfast. The only drawback was that some young folks (we think) came in from the bars @ 2 am and woke-up my sister as they were yelling and going up and down the stairs. Not sure if hotel management could have prevented that. OOH, the other drawback is that almost all the parking spaces are drawn for compact cars. But overall I would rec. this hotel if you need to stay in downtown especially.

The hotel was newly renovated, attractive, and clean. We were comfortable and enjoyed the room. It was nice to be close to downtown and in walking distance of the shops.

The guw working was great, great walking distance to the reason I was there and nice rooms. Ill have to try out the pool next time because it was very hot.
“Great Location!”
This hotel was right in downtown and near everything! My only complaint was the noise at 2 a.m. While I know that I was right in downtown and Chico knows how to party the windows and doors leaked a little too much noise. We were right next to the ice machine and we could hear that all night dispensing ice. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good. I would definitely go back to this hotel!
“Wildflower relaxation”
We went for the Wildflower. While the Thunderbird has been questionable in the past, the remodel -- including new beds, furniture and flat screen TV -- is awesome. The interior rooms were finished, but the exterior was still being worked on. I look foward to seeing the finished product at next year's Wildflower!
