“Really impressed”
I was only there for one day..but I was throughly impressed.The people on the front desk was courteous and helpful.
“Very impressed”
The hotel is beautiful, clean and safe. The staff is so kind and helpful. It is a $10 cab ride over to Gaylord. The decor is lovely, the rooms are beautiful. Other than an odd noise (machine) above my room all night- my stay was perfect! They were kind enough to let me change rooms and the noise continued. Sounded like a vent or air duct. All in all a wonderful stay! Such a beautiful hotel and amazing staff!!
“Nice Care”
We enjoyed our stay in Washington. The hotel staff and guests were all very nice and helpful.
“Pretty Good”
Overall pretty good. One suggestion I would make is for security to check the halls for smoke. When I came out of my room at 9pm one room had their door open allowing the smoke to fill the entire hallway.
“Very close to D.C”
The people that worked for Best Western were very nice. I don't think I have had better service. The hotel is only 10 mins outside of D.C and is right off of 95.
“Friendly Staff, Nice Facility”
We found the Best Western to be a suitable hotel for our stay in the DC area. The staff was incredibly friendly--a bit more laid back than I thought east coast people would be, but accommodating. There were three dissappointments: 1. The hotel was not accessable by public transportation--cab or limo fare into DC was $40. each trip ($80 round trip). I found this to be excessive esp. since it was only 17 miles outside of the city. 2. I dropped my suit for the in house cleaners to pick up on Friday and asked that it be ready for my by Sunday. I didn't get any notice, yet it was handed back to me Saturday at midnight upon my return to the hotel with an explaination that "they just didn't pick up". Strange. Where I come from, the Concierge would have taken the initiative to take care of it. I had to hang it in the shower and press it with a press cloth. It nearly ruined my suit. 3. The maid service didn't always make up the room. It was strange to come back to a room still in the same order you left it in.
“Oxon Hill”
We arrived at the hotel late in the evening. The kids were tired after a long flight so we were dissapointed to find that the room was not made up. However, the desk clerk was very apologetic, and offered us a suite for the price of our standard room we had reserved. Kudos to the hotel staff for turning a bad situation good.
“Accommodating!”
They have just changed the ownership of the hotel when I arrived there. The staff was very accommodating - placing a refrigerator and microwave into my room. The staff was great! It would have been nice if they provide shuttle to Gaylord National Convention Center and park and ride area to be able to take Metrobus NH1 to the train station into D.C.
“Great place to stay”
I read some scary reviews before coming but I can honestly say it was fine. Not a 5 star but at least what you pay for. I only wished the pool had longer hours. 5 P.M. - 10 P.M. State law to keep a life guard on duty.
“A Really Comfortable Stay”
I stayed at the Potomac Best Western before and my stay was really comfortable and pleasant.
