“Hotel Neptun - a great place to stay”
I had read some very negative reviews on this Hotel so went with an open mind and was more than pleasantly surprised. The low rating reviews are unjust and unfair in my opinion. The Hotel is located in a superb position, all of the staff were very friendly, polite and couldn't help us enough. The bedrooms are no smaller of any other in that price range throughout Europe and although the food wasn't of gourmet standard, it was good enough, a wide choice and provided as a gesture of goodwill along with unlimited free tea/coffee and afternoon cake (3-4pm). The waiters were constantly topping up the food for breakfast and evening buffet, nothing was too much trouble for them or the lovely receptionist Camillia. There are several areas to relax in, in the hotel, a library, dining area, cosy comfy seating and it looked like it had recently been refurbished. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. To anyone erring about staying here I would say give it a chance, it deserves it!
“Great location”
Pretty quiet street but right in the centre of the best part of the city for tourists. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The room overlooked the central courtyard which was a bit odd but meant that we weren't disturbed by early morning sunlight which can be a nuisance in Scandinavia in summer. Lovely ensuite shower room.
“Copenhagen's jewel”
The hotel was a comfortable 20 minute drive from the airport by taxi. Its location is a huge asset, within walking distance to all attractions and sightseeing places. We didn't even need a car and kept ourselves busy for 5 full days. The hotel amenities were wonderful and compared to other hotels, seemed like a great deal within its price range, service and location. We saved tons of money on outside restaurant expenses, as breakfast and dinner were included in the fare, and abundantly rich and satisfying. I will definitely be a return customer.
“The Best Little Hotel In Nyhavn”
This was out third stay at Hotel Neptune. Our first stay was about 20 years ago and I had good memories of the hotel, staff and location so I decided to try it again. Turns out it was a great decision. This quaint little Hotel just keeps getting better and better. If you want to stay in Nyhavn, the location can't be beat. It is walking distance to countless great restaurants and shops. The staff is accommodating and they make every effort to make your stay a great experience. The hotel itself is housed in one of the old Nyhavn buildings where they have done a great job integrating the old structure with modern amenities. There are several lounges where you can enjoy the complementary breakfast, afternoon coffee and dinner. There is even a beautiful roof top terrace. The rooms are small, but well designed and offer everything you might need during your stay.
“Very Friendly Staff”
The staff here were very helpful and friendly.I thought the value was good as well considering the location and the fact that my accommodation included a dinner and breakfast buffet!!
“Would stay here again!”
Great location, reasonable price, free breakfast, free evening meal (basic), free WiFi, comfortable rooms ... What more do you need?
“Great location, nice hotel”
This hotel was much nicer than I'd expected after reading the reviews on Google Maps. My room was smaller than you would get with a modern purpose-built hotel, but beautifully furnished. It had a large window overlooking the beautiful street outside (lovely flowers along the middle of the road), with excellent black-out curtains so I got a great night's sleep. It was perfectly clean. The only thing which wasn't ideal was that there was no bath, just a shower. And the shower wasn't in a box as a UK shower would be, but just part of the bathroom. There was just a swinging glass partition which left a foot-wide gap, so the bathroom got pretty wet whenever I took a shower. The free evening buffet is really handy, and saved me a fortune. One hot meal, different every day, plus cold pasta, cheese, bread, salad, etc. Not a gourmet experience, but very useful if you're on a budget. Breakfast wasn't so good if you don't like continental style – if you need protein you have a choice of rubbery scrambled eggs, mini hotdog sausages, cheese and meat. Not my thing. The location is fantastic. Right in the centre, just a few minutes from the nearest Metro, and the road just to the south along the canal (Nyhavn), is literally all restaurants, so there are a million great places to eat just around the corner. There's even a boat tour that goes from there. Over by the Metro station are tons of shops for those who like shopping, including a big department store right next to the station.
“Great for a relaxing break”
Helpful staff, first class breakfasts, excellent area to stay close to the new harbour and within easy reach of the shopping centre, museums and tourist sites.
“Good value centrally situated hotel”
Deluxe room a good size at front of hotel with view across square and out to harbour and water. comfortable bed and well appointed mini bar. Good breakfast buffet spread in continental style make your own bircher style muesli with fruit compote, classic salami, cheese and bread, fresh fruit or even bacon, sausage and eggs so really something everyone. Included free evening buffet is OK, but recommend eating out as Copenhagen has some great restaurants, so only a short walk from the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful as the Danish are. Would go back for sure as the hotel is well located close to city centre, playhouse, marble church and waterfront - so everything is pretty much within walking distance.
