“Great Location”
Very happy with my stay. Smaller european style room. Great location. expensive breakfast but cost are high everywhere in Copenhagen.
“Great location...”
Great hotel. The reception staff went above and beyond on several occasions. The room was small, but we booked a small room, so what could we expect? :) The bed was comfortable and the room was well maintained. Overall, recommended.
“Better than I expected”
This hotel was a lot better than I expected, since I really didn't pay that much for it. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic-- right near Nyhavn and a metro stop. Also, the room itself was extremely comfortable with a great bathroom and a giant TV. I wasn't feeling well on my trip, but if I had to be sick I'm glad I was staying in such a nice place.
“Great location”
This hotel was spotlessly clean and one of the best breakfasts. The location was superb just a couple of minutes walk to the harbour, palace and a good walk to the Little Mermaid. Would definitely stay there again if returning to Copenhagen.
“A wonderful luxurious hotel”
It is a lovely and luxurious hotel, especially at the price. We loved out room, the front desk staff was awesome, we loved the terrace, the location was ideal. Only negative was a stained bedspread that we had to ask to have replaced.
“Thank You Phoenix!”
I was originally only scheduled to stay one night, but was so impressed I extended my stay and upgraded my room for the next two nights. The phoenix is comfortable and elegant, and the staff is friendly. The location is perfect for shopping and sightseeing. The Phoenix epitomizes the Danish "hygge" - from the rooms to the bars and restaurants. The only problem I had was that the windows are old and let through a lot of cold air, so the room can be quite drafty and it is difficult to get it warm. This was only a problem because I was visiting during the coldest week of the year! Thank you!
“Nice hotel at a good price”
The hotel is situated in a very central location in Copenhagen and is within walking distance to most of the attractions. The hotel staff was friendly and extremely responsive to our needs and the hotel rooms were fairly spacious compared to rooms in Europe. Overall a very good experience.
“European businessperson-type hotel”
Neat, clean, in nice area of Copenhagen. Costly for a U.S. traveler, but the Expedia rate has to be considered reasonable, considering how amazingly expensive Copenhagen is for the U.S. visitor now (July 2008). The breakfast is very good ... but, again, expensive, so eat a lot!
“great location...great hotel...great weekend rate”
hard to beat the whole package, especially for the weekend. even the food in bar was great. close to subway, running on the harbor to the fort, restaurants on the canal, walking down the pedestrian zone.
“Perfect place to stay in the heart of Copenhagen”
Got everything you could expect for a 4-star accommodation: Friendly staff, excellent service, elegant interior, clean and quiet place. The location is perfect if you are visiting attractions within the city. City Hall, Kongen Nytorv, National Museum, Tivoli, Rosenborg, Amalienborg, etc. are all within 15-min walking distance. Stayed in a standard single room on the main floor. The only thing I could complain is the size of the room. It's smaller than what I was expecting. Other than that everything is perfect. Highly recommended.
