All-Inclusive Details
Guests can book rooms at El Cid La Ceiba Beach for a rate that is either for the room only or for all-inclusive. All-inclusive rates are higher because they include onsite food and beverages in the room rate (some restrictions may apply, for example, to premium food items or drinks; or to dining at specific restaurants). Guests who book all-inclusive rates do not have to pay extra for onsite activities such as tennis. Taxes and gratuities are included. Please note items that are not included; these require a surcharge.

Property Amenities
Near shopping, a ferry terminal, and a national marine park, this hotel sits on a sandy beach less than five km (three miles) from the city center. A dive shop and pier are on site.
Located on the beach in the southern section of Cozumel's hotel strip, the 12-story El Cid La Ceiba Beach Resort was renovated in spring 2006. The hotel features the Mayan-influenced Cocai Spa, with herbal treatments, massage services, and an enlarged sauna. Resort amenities include two swimming pools facing the Caribbean–the main pool features a children's pool and a tide pool has cascading waterfalls and vegetation. A spa tub is adjacent to the bar, and a fitness center is on site.
In the lobby, the hotel installed new tile flooring, ceiling fans, furniture, lamps, and anti-hurricane window curtains. From the lobby, guests can observe cruise-ship action at the two docks comprising Puerta Maya; they also can use the lobby's Internet access room at no charge.
Like most Cozumel hotels, El Cid recommends guests not drink tap water and supplies bottled water for a fee.
Rooms
Accommodations at the El Cid La Ceiba Beach were totally renovated with new furnishings, beds, mattresses, flooring, fixtures, and linens in spring 2006. All 60 guestrooms have balconies or terraces with anti-hurricane protection; views are of the Caribbean. Bathrooms have marble soaking tubs; cable/satellite TV, in-room safes, refrigerators, and coffeemakers are provided.
Rooms are booked in the European Plan, which includes room accommodations only.

La Chopa Loca Restaurant and Bar - This restaurant under a palapa on the beach serves à la carte lunches and dinners.
Trattoria Da Salvatore - This restaurant serves oven-brick pizzas.
This property offers a breakfast buffet with hot items each morning (surcharge).
Recreation
El Cid La Ceiba Beach has an outdoor tennis court and offers a sauna and volleyball. An on-site tour office can arrange snorkeling, diving, and other tours.

“Not too touristy, not too authentic”
Service was the best I've ever had at any hotel. From the bellmen on the first day to the meals we had at La Choppa, the hotel restuarant. Everything about this place is perfect for a get away at a resonably priced rate. For a trip like this, you don't want to stay in your room the entire time, but they were comfortable regardless. Quality beds, AIR CONDITIONING for when you really need it, a small selection of English programs on the TV. Great views from the balcony if you are staying in the tower. La Choppa restaurant has great wait staff. I even left a wad of money on the table, and they held it for me. There are cruise ships that dock in front of the hotel, but your days should not be spent in the hotel, but traveling the island! Downtown is close by, as are reefs for diving.
“Favorite Cozumel Destination!!!”
We absolutely love La Ceiba...We are snorkelers & scuba divers & their location is ideal. You can snorkel right off their beach, it's a roped-off area, the ocean is calm and filled with every color of fish. Also, the dive boats can pick you up on their dock. We have returned to La Ceiba for MANY years. We love watching the cruise ships arriving and departing from international pier. We enjoy the walk into town or you can always get a taxi. The best part overall is the staff. They are always there to help and always have a smile.

Great waterfront for swimming, snorkeling and feeding the fish. dive boat and dive shop 100 ft from room balcony. View the Cruise ships docked nearby. Luxury outdoor restaurant onsite with great fine cuisine. Warm swimming pools and jacuzzi swim up bar. Friendly staff. Close to town and Mega grocery but not in town, quieter. Our room was very clean, well decorated. Nice stovetop and microwave, small frig in room. I met Sophia from Sweden there at their beach. Arriva Arriva! Will be going back,
“Great Hotel /Condo”
We had a week reserved at El Cid La Ceiba through a condominium exchange, but we arrived 1 day early due to a good airfare deal so we booked one night via Expedia. The staff was great and put us in the same 1 bedroom unit that we were to stay for the week even though the room we bought through Expedia was only a studio. The service was great and the beach and snorkel area of the hotel is great. There are cruise ships that come and dock during part of most days (no cruise ships on Sundays) but are gone in the mornings and evenings and did not bother us. You can book tours and dives through the hotel and their rates are good and the staff is helpful.

“Perfectly relaxed place to stay!”
El Cid was a fabulous place to stay. The front desk personnel was sweet and helpful. We loved that the location was away from 'downtown' yet not too far away--we could just hop in a taxi that was already waiting at the hotel front door and be downtown in 8 minutes or less. The rooms were comfortable with TV, A/C, balconies, granite vanities, a safe, etc. Great stay! We were welcomed back each day with a new piece of towel art in our rooms and the ocean views were perfect. I definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, quiet and fun place to stay.
“El Cid La Ceiba”
Hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, staff is friendly and helpful; good range of activities for families. Restaurant could be better, but cab ride to town is cheap. Excellent hotel for scuba divers, as most scuba operators will stop at the hotel's pier. The only drawback is some (temporary) noise from renovation of the international pier in front of the hotel. One of the few with a beach.
“Great place to stay”
We had an excellent time in Cozumel. We enjoyed staying at El Cid. We were on the ninth floor and spent a lot of our time on our balcony watching all the cruise ships come in. They were especially pretty at night when they were all lite up. We loved all the food at the restaurant at the resort. Be sure to go eat at La Mission and Casa Mission restaurants. Their food was amazing. Coconuts bar on the other side of the island was a lot of fun and has the BEST view on the entire island. DON'T get trapped by the time share people. They are very bad at the airport. Reserve your car on line before you go and DON'T accept any free car rentals. It will ruin your trip!!! There is some great shopping right by the hotel where the cruise ships come in. The snorkeling at the resort was GREAT!
“Clean, friendliness, and comfort.”
La Ceiba is a nice, clean, comfortable hotel which has a prompt and friendly staff. This hotel offers a full range of tours, snorkeling, and other island and mainland adventures. My wife and I loved it and we would stay there again.
“Awsome time”
Hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The hotel dining was good along with the bar. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back.
