“Nice hotel, not too far from a beach. I'd stay there again.”
Not right on the beach, but close enough (ca. 300 yards). Close to Hooks Bar, which is a special spot. A first-rate hotel at a good price.
“Dutch Suite hotel”
Tranquil location; european suite with sink, micro, stovetop, and refrigerator. Outstanding 5 star (expensive) restaurant, friendly staff, nice pool. On outskirts of Willemstadt (free shuttle twice daily, tenspot cab ride one-way).
“great start to our honeymoon”
We were impressed by the Floris Hotel through and through. Suites were spacious and attractive. We got a "garden view" room and we felt no need to upgrade- it was beautiful outside our balcony. The open-air design was brilliant. Hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable from the moment we arrived. We especially enjoyed the restaurant- although pricey for the average family, the cuisine was truly outstanding. The bar was also a pleasant way to pass the evening, sampling the local beverage of Curacao, of course. Overall, it was a great start to our first visit to Curacao!
“Value for your money”
Really nice hotel, quit, pool is nice, rooms are great! You really get value for your money!
“Great Place to Stay in Curacao”
This was our 4th vacation in Curacao in 5 years. The hotel is beautiful, great food, lovely pool and access to beach across the street. Would highly reccommend.
“Nice place to be !”
Cool place to be, nice, romantic, very nice experience
“Relaxing and Stylish”
We stayed in a junior garden suite which has plenty of space for two people. Includes sofa and chair, small kitchen and sleeping area. Pool is extremely nice. Service and food were excellent, although you have to expect to slow down to an island pace. Beach was only ok, but if you have a car go to Playa Knip on the end of the island. It is stunning and not crowded at all. While at the hotel the pool more than made up for the beach.
“Wow!”
What a wonderful hotel! We had a fabulous time, the room was comfortable, stylish, clean, roomy and very relaxing. The pool offers seclusion and romance. Tennis courts are available and the in hotel restuarant for outdoor dining was phenomenal! The seared tuna and pinapple dessert are unbeleivable. Completely underated!
“Loved it, loved it, loved it.”
The hotel was even more beautiful in person(and I had already been impressed by the photos online). The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. It was quite peaceful and romantic. Food at the hotel seemed a bit pricey and although you have a kitchen in the room the produce on the island is not so great. Your best bet is to be adventurous and find the local hangouts where the food is delicious and much cheaper. Over all I plan to revisit the Floris Suite Hotel.
“Great hotel, bad restaurant!”
We honestly felt this was the BEST place to stay on the island. We loved the fact that all the rooms had a small kitchen- big enough to prepare breakfast so you weren't having to get ready to eat in the morning! The rooms were very clean and everything was in great condition. Only downside to the room/hotel was that the bathroom fan ran constantly, due to sewer issues since its an island- but you got use to this after the first night. The beach was very close (make sure you do not pay for beach chairs- this is included for all hotel staff) and kept very clean. Great facilities there as well and Hooks Hut (not affiliated with the hotel) was okay for food. TREMENDOUSLY UNACCEPTABLE- HORRIBLE restaurant service. Great tasting food, but very, very, very slow (dinner took 4 hours for 4 courses, a few tables left mid service, I actually fell asleep between course 3 and 4 as it had been a long day, etc!) and the restaurant staff could have cared less! However, despite the restaurant, I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying.
