Mai Tai is an exclusive, Adults only (not suitable for children) boutique mountain retreat tucked away in the hinterlands of Port Douglas and only 10 minutes north of Port Douglas village center, providing the ideal base from which to experience the natural wonders of Port Douglas in an atmosphere of ambience, privacy, beauty and tranquility. Explore the beauty and magic of the Great Barrier Reef or take an adventure by private 4WD to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation and experience the wonders of the oldest Rainforests in the world. Or simply take a stroll through the streets of Port Douglas and discover the magic that Port Douglas has to offer.
Nestled amongst 5 acres of private lush tropical surroundings Mai Tai commands spectacular views towards the Daintree Rainforest, Thornton’s Peak and the beautiful Coral Coast and attracts birdwatchers from all over the world.
We offer guests the ultimate in boutique accommodation - consisting of four beautifully appointed romantic rooms. All rooms have private outdoor sitting areas and Deluxe Rooms complete with outdoor tropical showers. In addition to our 4 rooms we also have our Executive Villa – this private luxurious Villa is perched high above Mai Tai providing magical panoramic views. The Executive Villa has been built to the highest standards and is ideal for Honeymooners looking for a private oasis. Consisting of beautifully hand crafted King size Ubud 4 post beds, large modern ensuite with floor to ceiling mirrors, twin wash basins and large open shower area. This Romantic getaway is fully self-contained with fully equipped kitchen and provides both indoor and outdoor entertainment areas. It also has its own undercover cool tropical saltwater plunge / spa pool which is positioned between the kitchen/lounge and master bedroom.
We cater for a maximum of 12 guests at any one time offering an intimate, relaxed atmosphere, making Mai Tai the perfect location for honeymooners or a romantic getaway.
Rooms
Mai Tai offers Air-conditioned rooms with ceiling fans and all completely screened for guest comfort. All rooms have flat screen TV, DVD players, free WIFI, mini bar, tea/coffee facilities, safe, hair dryer, iron/ironing boards can be requested. Housekeeping is provided daily and sheets & towels changed every 3rd day. All rooms open onto private terrace and garden areas overlooking to mountain, garden, or pool views. Each accommodation is individually furnished and decorated featuring premium bedding and comfortable mattresses with pillow tops. All guestrooms are non-smoking, however, smoking areas provided outside.
