“Good Hotel”
The hotel was excellent. The address is a little deceptive, though, because the entrance is actually around the corner on Boundary Street. If you're at a conference at the University of Sydney (as I was), this location is excellent and is just a short walk from Redfern railway station. If, on the other hand, you're in Sydney as a tourist, you might consider a hotel closer to the central business district. I had what essentially amounted to a studio apartment, complete with small refrigerator, microwave oven, dishes, silverware, towels, etc. I definitely would stay here again.
“Medina Classic Chippendale Sydney”
We were very happy with the hotel and the condition of both it and the rooms. The only thing dissapointing was the gym. There were only two items in there so not really a gym as we know it. otherwise quite happy and comfortable.

Excellent in every respect. Would definitely return. Sadly we could only stay one night, would have loved to have stayed longer. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is a very good apartment hotel in a good position to Uni of Sydney and Redfern station. I like that it is not on a busy street or area. It is very well maintained.
“5 days at The Medina Classic, Sydney”
I stayed at the Medina Sydney, with my wife and young family (children aged 11,13 15). I found all hotel staff very helpful & polite. They gave us helpful info about local shops & transport . The pool was very well maintained, as was the hotel & all the gardens. The courtyard was very well kept, although we did have an issue on one night, with guests drinking & talking loudly in the courtyard, into the early hours of the morning, however, i rang reception & the member of staff went straight out there & asked them to stop, which they did.
“Very competent and flexible”
Room was enormous (we went for a 1-bed apartment) with good facilities (though no washing line - it seemed an environmental crime to use the dryer in a place like Sydney). TVs were a bit antiquated by modern standards but they had the England-South Africa cricket match on so all was forgiven. Internet expensive as usual in these places, but I was able to pick up a faint wireless signal from the free hotspot in the attached cafe (which was excellent by the way - possibly the best thing about our stay.) When my partner fell ill on the evening before departure reception were very flexible in allowing us to keep our room for first an extra night, and then another, at a reduced rate. Only things I'd want added: - A hand-held shower in the bathroom. - A washing line on the balcony. - Minibar in the room as opposed to reception. - Cheap wireless internet. - Better lighting in the kitchen Otherwise, impressive.

Great position. Lots of restaurants close by. Three bedroom apartments are uncommon and we are a family of 5. Parking was good.
“Noisy at night”
Room faced the courtyard and was noisy at night. The air conditioning in the room caused the window to rattle which was quite annoying. Door to my block had been kicked in and the surrounding area was dead.
