“Great hotel and location”
We stay at the Red Lion Downtown Hotel when we are in Denver. Not only is it next door to Invesco Field, it has a free shuttle that will take you within a 3-mile radius of the hotel. We are able to go downtown or to the pepsi Center in this shuttle. It is very accomidating to its guests and we have never had an unpleasant experience there. It also has a restaurant on-site that serves reasonable food.
“Great Place to Stay in Denver”
We had a great stay at the Red Lion Inn. All members of our family agree. The front desk staff are so friendly and super helpful-directed us to some great restaurants. The shuttle drivers are so quick to take and pick you up. This hotel is very close to Invesco Field-we walked over to watch the High School Championship Game and we enjoyed a great fireworks display from our window. Room service was very quick and got our order correct-even though we made several different orders and changes-all food ordered was on the tray and everything was hot!!
“perfect for a Broncos fan!!”
I flew to Denver for a monday night game, stayed at the red lion, and was extremely impressed. The staff was very nice, and the hotel and rooms were very clean. the pool, ok. next time I go to Denver, I will stay there. Not to mention, you can take a 5 minute walk and be at invesco field.
“great stay”
The hotel has a free shuttle to downtown area attractions. I enjoyed the convenient location to Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Friendly service all the way around. Great views from the lounge at the top of the hotel. Easy to find right off the freeway. aside from hearing free way traffic, comfortable rest.
“Very good service, excellent value”
See above. Very pleased, More than satisfied in every way. This hotel, with very reasonable room rates, provides excellent value for money.
“Made it easy”
had a blast while on a short vacation! the desk clerk at the red lion was great with area info and recommendations; the shuttle service was quick and very friendly, we enjoyed each and every day. we'll be staying there again in the future! thanks for a great time!
“Would love to return!”
Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Everything promised was delivered. In good condition, clean and kept clean throughout my stay. Good location, though somewhat difficult to find at first. Good view of city and Six flags, and truly "adjacent" to stadium. Price very fair. Skybox bar has neat view and great bartenders. My favorite hotel out of three I visited while traveling in Colorado.
“Good deal, friendly staff, clean rooms”
This was my first time in Denver, and despite mixed reviews, I found Hotel VQ to be a great stay. The staff at the front desk were very friendly, very informative, they helped me get a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, helped me rent a car, find attractions to see, and held my bags for me after I checked out (and was staying for the broncos game). My room was very clean, very large, plenty of space with a beautiful view of invesco (now Sports Authority) at Mile High. While I wished it got colder, the ac was OK, but everything else in the room was fine. The pillows were amazing, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! I found the location, while not exactly in Denver, to be good because it's right near the highway and easy to get around. Definitely worth renting a car. Shuttle service is nice too, when i didn't have a car rented they made it very easy for me to get where I needed to go in denver, (just had to wait a little too long for a pickup). I only ate at the restaurant once, and while the service wasn't the friendliest, the view of the city was spectacular and the food was very good. While this was my first time in Denver, it was by far not the first time I've traveled, and for what it's worth it's a good value in my books. I'm sure there are plenty of other hotels in more central denver, but I'd bet they're more expensive too. A must if going to see a broncos game.
“Cool, convenient and accommodating!”
Four of us stayed there for the Great American Beer Festival in Oct-07. They couldn't have been more accomodating. Awesome food in the Skybox on the 14th floor. Maid service was very good. Front desk helpful and the highlight for us was that free shuttle to downtown anytime you want between 7 am and 11pm. A stone's throw to Ivesco Field. Overall, great place to crash.
“Red Lion Downtown Denver gets two Thumbs up up from us New Hampshirites”
From the moment we started to check in, we were made very welcome. During our stay all the staff was as helpful and informative. House keeping was quick and efficiant. The food and service each evening in the lounge was great and the buffet breakfast was more than we had expected. The veiw from up there was awsome. I watched the sunrise over Denver from our room and had all I could do not wo wake up my wife to share it with her me. When we go to Denver again I hope we can book our stay there.
