“Best Hotel”
It is one of the best hotels I enjoyed, I did manage to see a live Polo game in the afternoon, and enjoyed the night having a drink on the nice terrace. I will recommend this hotel for all families with children ......
“Excellent boutique hotel”
A really comfortable and well designed small boutique hotel set amongst green polo fields away from the city centre. Large swimming pool lined with palm trees and adjacent gardens. Extensive Spa facilities including treatment rooms, gym, steam and ice rooms and plunge pool. Bedrooms are spacious - ours included a large shower as well as a free standing bath although not all rooms have both. Service generally excellent. Restaurant very high standard. 2nd restaurant at poolside also good. Easy access from airport - 15 mins by taxi. Some traffic noise from nearby road but not intrusive.
“Britvick Desert Palm”
This hotel is seriously smart. It has a boutique hotel atmosphere. The locals seem to have a coffee there in the evening. The pool and the service around the pool is fabulous. The service was good; the wines were classy although not cheap. The room was very large, very high tech lighting and sound system. We had very large windows from our room which overlooked the polo field. The only thing was, the seating area outside the bar was below our window and if the room was quite, you could hear the chatter a little. The Desert Palm knows how to run a hotel. Yes it was second to none and I would recommend it without hesitation. The spa is beautiful with every facility. This is a small hotel with lots of space, and helpful staff. The hotel is a little out of the city centre but Taxis are very cheap in Dubai so if you have the time, it is no problem. Go and feel the feel of this very special hotel for yourself.
“Very relaxing hotel attracting local affluence”
Overall this was a stunning hotel and we had a relaxing stay. However if we really wanted to pick holes... There isn't a playground, when it does state one on their website. We went with our 3 yr old son, so that was disappointing for him, although he did enjoy the pool. There isn't enough staff on the front desk. There were over a handful of times throughout various times when no one would answer the phone at reception. Also if you wanted room service, you had to ring the same number and then be put through to another line and nearly always it would cut off. They had top notch equipment, but the DVD player was way too complicated and most of their DVDs did not actually work. One night there was a distinct sewage smell rifling through the hotel...I had seen other reviews stating this so I was prepared. They should offer more shuttles going to Dubai Mall and beach other than 11am and 5pm. I would say that this hotel is more suited to couples and business people rather than families. The staff were very friendly towards my son, but there is only one cartoon channel and no other forms of entertainment. I witnessed a lot of locals using this hotel for a lot of extra curricular activities that stray from muslim rules.
“Great hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay the hotel was amazing but the service wasn't great the staff really meant well but lacked training and management
