“The best Hilton I've stayed in, AMAZING location!”
I try to avoid the soulless chains, particularly after some mediocre (& 1 very bad) experiences with Hilton in the UK, however this Hilton is by far the best I have stayed at. From the minute we arrived, the huge staff has identified us by name, & gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure our stay is a happy one. The front desk will happily help with travel plans, car bookings or just suggestions for the area. The cleaning staff and restaurant staff are all so cheerful, it is a joy to be here. Even the in-house chefs have prepared gifts for the guests staying over Christmas. Check In: Everything was ready & waiting for us, including a letter from the manager (& a follow up phonecall welcoming us the next day). Rooms: They are large & practical; with a fridge you can use (no sensor pads) & plenty of cupboard space. Kettle. Bathrooms: Large, with a wide bath. Toiletries aren't replaced as often as I'd like (shampoo & conditioner was only replaced every other day). Clothesline is available. Gym: The gym is very well equipped with 5 cardio machines, step, & numerous weights machines, plus free weights. Some equipment is missing weight pegs, but you can borrow from other machines when it's not busy. Power Plates are not free. Spa: Treatment Rooms are fantastic, but mani/pedi station is in a corridor so not private (main thoroughfare). Bar: Highly recommend the afternoon tea (with live pianist). Breakfast & Room Service: Outstanding Location: Right on Pile Gate. Fantastic!
“City Break”
Location is excellent within walking distant to most sights. The room was spacious. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pool whilst small but welcoming for a centrally located city hotel. Only complaint is that there is a charge for internet. I would definitely recommend the hotel to both all visitors.
“A gem!”
Wonderful hotel very near to Pile Gate. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful -they did their best to resolve a mobile phone problem even. Breakfast superb - excellent fruit every morning. Would thoroughly recommend.
“America - discover Croatia!”
My wife and I spent a week in late April, 2012, celebrating my 60th birthday. The tourist season begins in May, so we enjoyed the off-season experience which is always more relaxed. We had a King-bed suite in an adjacent building, just across from the main hotel. The room was very comfortable with high ceilings, balcony, and view toward the Old City, which is only a block away. The staff was superb in every way. This is a "business" hotel, but it's also terrific for tourists. The breakfast buffet accommodated every taste, and allowed us to explore the city and enjoy a late lunch/early dinner in town. The Front Desk can arrange any side trip you'd like and they made sure everything went as expected. We took a bus trip to Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina. There's an undertone of bitterness on the part of the Croatians toward the Serbs and Montenegrins, but you won't detect it unless you engage in that conversation. This is a terrific hotel, very convenient, and the whole area is very safe and friendly.
“A great break”
One of the best hotels i have stayed in. The only thing i would have liked is to have an outside pool.
“New Year's in Debrovnik at the Hilton Imperial”
Unsurpassed service at every turn. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast buffet diverse and delicious. On site restaurant top notch. Concierge services exceptional
“The Hilton DUBROVNIK”
The best hotel we have ever stayed in we could not fault it would highly recommend a wonderful stay the food was out of this world.
“50th in Dubrovnik a week before Easter”
This hotel is in excellent condition and ideally placed for easy access to the old city. The staff can't do enough for you and make you feel very special. The buffet breakfast is the best we have ever had and the one evening meal we had was wonderful. You must try the afternoon tea with it's array of everlasting cakes which do not fill you up like those we eat in the UK. We tried the gym out which had top notch equipment in and then went for a swim and steam room. Next time we come we would like a balcony room which is our only regret.
“Great Hotel”
Stayed here in July 2010. This hotel has two buildings - the original and a newer building. We were in the new building - not quite the main building but very nice none-the-less. The hotel is good on all fronts - fantastic location, clean, comfortable and the buffet breakfast very good - expecially so if you dine on the outside patio (its wonderful). You shouldn't be disappointed with this property.
“Great Hotel”
I really can't fault this hotel. It's location is fantastic, about two minutes from the main entrance to the old city. Staff were just excellent, the breakfast was very good, the room big and very clean. I'd stay here again.
