“one of the best in dunedin”
for the money this hotel was good value, very clean, friendly and polite staff. room was very nice. laundry facilities were very good. though i did not use the resteraunt it was always very busy, so one assumes it was very good. the hotel location is a little way out of town so its quieter, fine if you have a car to drive into the centre, though it would take approx 20 minutes if you wanted to walk. internet usage was expensive but fast. otherall one of the nicer hotels i've stayed in, would certainly recommend and one i'd go back to if ever i returned to dunedin.
“Would highly recommend”
Our room was next to a main road, so did get quite abit of traffic noise during the night.
“Good old Dunedin”
All was good, great hotel and service, very comfy
“Impressed”
Very comfortable bed, renovated bathroom with great shower. Quiet despite being near main road.
“Happy with stay”
Comfortable. Reception on TV2 poor but upgrading to Digital No issues of concern
“Convenient location, good value for money”

“jme DXB RWC2011”
The Staff were very polite and accommodating, in possibly their busiest ever period; the Italia v Ireland weekend[RWC2011]. The Hotel is clean, modern and fresh.
“Decent accommodation with peaceful surrounding”
Friendly staff The hotel is located near the Botanical garden and close to the shopping area in North Dunedin If you want to stay away from the noisy students, this place is the best. It is very safe and quiet.
“Quiet and comfortable stay”
Stayed for one night at this hotel. Its clean and neat and we had a comofrtable stay. Its a few mins drive from the city center which was fine since we had our own car. Would definately recomend.
“Next door to Botanical Gardens”
The staff were definitely a high point of this hotel. They were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to provide great service. The decor was outdated and the rooms looked a bit worn. It smelled like an old hotel. There was no ventilation system in the rooms, although the windows did open. Our party had three rooms, two with two beds, one with a King bed. The King bed room had a small kitchen with a fridge, sink, and dishes. Also a small table in the room. This was great, as we went to the grocery store (located within a block) so saved a lot on breakfast and lunches while we were there. The beds in the other two rooms were pretty hard. The rooms were very clean, just a bit outdated and worn. For us, the location was great as it is next door to the Dunedin Botanical Gardens. The Gardens are huge and well worth seeing. We had the pleasure of walking there each morning during our stay, a big bonus for this hotel.
