Welcome to the Victoria Hotel Dunedin, New Zealand

**Please note from the 9th of May 2011 until the 31st of August the lift will be out of service due to upgrade. We apologise for any inconvenience and there will be a porter to assist with all luggage.**

The Victoria Hotel is under refurbishment stage three now. Its central location is a block from George Street (Dunedin's main street) and less than 3 blocks from the Octagon.

Access to the Hotel is via Cumberland Street, oneway system from the south or from St Andrew Street from the north which has secure off-street car parking. The Victoria Hotel Dunedin features a glass-walled lift to the fourth floor giving excellent view over our beautiful city. We provide a restaurant, open for breakfast and dinner. We have an upstairs function room and a boardroom on the top floor.

Our reception is available from 7am to 10pm daily and a duty manager or night porter is available during the night.

Individual guest room key has an access to external rear entrance after hours.

Our in-house Restaurant is located on the Ground Floor and serves Breakfast from 7am daily as well as Dinner Service from 6pm daily. Room Service is available during these times and there is a snack & coffee menu available during the day.

The Victoria Hotel Dunedin is only a stone's throw away from the new Stadium and from the famous Octagon that contains the Dunedin Art Gallery, The Regent Theatre for live shows and other entertainment complexs such as movie theatres and shopping malls.

“Great staff”

Kelly at the front desk was very friendly & helpful. All staff at the hotel were excellent. We had breakfast in the dining room & it was good & well priced. Located in the centre if town close to food, entertainment, shopping & attractions.

“The Hotel Victoria a great place to stay.”

I came to Dunedin to see a very sick brother in Hospital, the staff seemed to be aware of this and compassion was shown by all staff I came in contact with.The location was wonderful very easy to access areas I needed to go.If any of my friend from Australia are to visit Dunedin I wouldn`t hesitate to recomend '"The Hotel Victoria: to them.Under different circumstances it would have been even more enjoyable.

“Beware the elevator”

The elevator has a horrible smell. We dreaded going in it. Everytime I wanted to mention it to the staff, there was no one at the desk. Absolutely dreadful smell!! We thought someone had passed gas in it the first time we rode on it.

“Review”

It suited us well, being only 3 minutes walk to Dunedin hospital, and close to the main street for shops, restaurants, breakfast etc. It was clean, comfortable, at a good price, and the staff were polite, helpful, and available when needed. There was no minibar, internet access cost $6/hour, no sea view (just the supermarket), some carparks but not enough for really busy times, fairly noisy at time with traffic on the one-way, Saturday night revellers etc, but overall suited us well.
