“Great hotel/apartment at a great price”
Great hotel/apartment at a great price. Nice suite with bedroom, living room, kitchen. In-room wifi. Big grocery store one block away. Convenient - close to city center, buses, etc. Very satisfied.
“Nice and spacious”
Apartment was spacious and clean, couldnt quite figure out how to work the shower but overall i would recommend. If you dont mind walking the location is okay but there is a bus stop nearby. Excellent value for money.
“Great service”
Location is fine, but need to take the public bus (3 pounds/day) or walk uphill to the city sites.
“Excellent”
Very high quality, friendly, helpful, clean and comfortable
“a few days in Edinburgh”
we went for leisure but it would suit the business traveller too. Fairly central, plenty of buses, supermarkets and restaurants a stone's throw away. Parking and wi- f free which is a real bonus. We will go back.
“Great for families”
Canon Court is a nice clean hotel in a quiet neighborhood in what they call the New Town. The room was clean and comfortable and would be ideal for families traveling with children. There is a kitchen with all utensils (including a washing machine), living room with fold out bed, and a bedroom. It's probably about a 15 - 20 minute walk to old town and all the sights, definately walkable. There are some decent restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. I would highly recommend "The Orchard" Bar, Cafe and Grill. Very affordable and the food was excellent (don't be afraid to try the haggis).
“Very convenient for the family”
15 minute walk from Waverly Station. 5 minutes from the Royal Botanic Garden. The external appearance isn't great, but with internal cleanliness/comfort and Tesco right around the corner, a family has everything it needs for a relaxed stay in Edinburgh based at this hotel. Highly recommended for families.
“Couldn't really be much better”
This was an excellent base. Only 15-20 mins walk into the centre of town (yes it's uphill but if I can manage! There is a bus stop right outside though). We were upgraded to a 2 bed apartment which was almost as big as our house! The rooms were spacious, comfy, clean and nicely decorated with black out blinds. The kitchen was excellent, especially if you're staying a while, loads of storage space. Microwave, kettle, coffee machine, fully equipped really. The TV has satellite so there are a few channels to choose from. There's a lift if you need it and the staff were friendly and helpful (I wasn't expecting that given other reviews!) The only minus is that it's on a VERY busy road (cars still going along at 4am - where to?!) and at the w/e you get quite a few singing drunks going past! Plus there's a 24hr garage opposite so you get people stopping to fill up. I quickly got used to it though.
“Terrific”
A terrific hotel with terrific, friendly staff. Walking distance to everything, including grocery store that helps for long stay. Bus stop right in front. Perfect for a vacation trip where the goal is to see the historic sites.
