“Great location. Don't look for a better situation than this.”
Catch the shuttle from the airport direct to this hotel( Waverly Bridge)All the tour buses start from the same place opposite
“Excellent Service!”
Like all European hotels, this one was a bit shop worn and the rooms were tiny, but the location and staff made it the Old Waverly Hotel a perfect choice for our stay in Edinburgh. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about the staff and their hospitality and knowledge of the city.
“Great location”
My daughters and I had a triple room which was very comfortable. The view of the Scott Monument and that of the castle lit up at night were a bonus. Stepping out of the Hotel on to Princes Street made getting to all the places we wanted to visit very easy. Great location, helpful staff a good place to stay.

I can't wait to go back to this beautiful, old and well-located hotel.
“Going back in september”
I waz extremely happy with the hotel i went to and am looking to book up for the hotel again in september for a couple more days. The hotel was in a perfect postions right on the centre of Princess street and good veiws of the gardens and castle The most happiest thing i had with the hotel waz the staff they were always happy and smiling which made your day better and always asked how your day waz.

Maybe not 5* luxury, but certainly good enough for what I would assume are most people's requirements. Fantastic central location, room overlooking the gardens and Scott monument. Airport connection and tour buses only two minutes walk away.

“Excellent hotel”
The hotel is situated right on the heart of Princes Street (a mere hundred metres or so from where the shuttle bus from the airport stops on Waverley Bridge which is perfect for travellers). It is so centrally located and the staff were very friendly. Our room overlooked the Scot Man monument and from our room we could see the RBS building and the Castle lit up in all its glory. I really recommend this hotel!
“Great weekend”
Good location, right in the middle of everything. Staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for us. Room was a little on the small side, but adequate for what is wanted, room was cleaned, fresh towels and bed done every day. Breakfast was a bit expensive at #11.00 pp, but for that you got a buffet breakfast that kept you going all day. Would stay there again, in fact we're going to.
“Awesome Position!!”
This is a fabulous location, 5 mins walk to everything and anything! Great shopping right outside the door and 'lush' outside makes the place smell lovely!!! They were polite and helpful they looked after our cases on our final day so we could still sight see before our flight! Super super hotel, can't recommend it enough.
