“Winning Wingate”
What a pleasant surprise this hotel was after looking at El Paso and thinking what a dump. Lovely lobby and reception area with breakfast eating area off to one side with plenty of tables, chairs and sofas. Very friendly staff who checked us in quickly and gave us details of hotel amenities including pool, indoor jacuzzi and equipment room. Lovely room which was clean and whilst lacking views was quiet because it was at back of hotel. Couldn't use the pool as too cold (the weather had been very wet up until we arrived and pool had not warmed up) but jacuzzi was excellent after long day driving. Breakfast was upgraded continental style with eggs and sausage as well as usual cereals, juice, coffee and pastries, bagels, etc. Free wifi and free calls, even long distance and mobiles so I was able to call home on my Birthday to speak with elderly Mother and my sons which was great and quite unexpected. If this group can do it, why can't others?
“I will use them next visit”
The only question I have is why is their exhaust smell and its really warm in the hallways above the 1st floor? it does seep into the rooms and I had to put a towel at the door to try and block it out. Other than that it has always been a pleasure to stay at the Wingate! Thank you!

“Solid hotel”
The hotel, which I can tell is a newer hotel, was very clean--everything from the lobby, the computer room, to the room. That's what impressed me the most. The courtesy airport shuttle was convenient and prompt. The complimentary breakfast was standard and practical, but quality. I didn't have a car so I was limited to the drug store and the Taco Cabana next door for food and snacks. Overall, a solid hotel to stay at in El Paso.
“Best Access”
Located right along I-10 this hotel has great access to the freeway and is in a good location in the central part of El Paso, not to be confused with say downtown. East Central would be a good geographical location for this hotel. It is in walking distance to a Wal-greens which is open 24 hours and a Taco Cabana which is also open 24 hours. Bassett Center mall is within driving distance, less than a mile. There is also an IHOPsouth of I-10. There are two Starbucks equidistance from the hotel. There is one East of the Hotel on the Gateway and one Northwest just north of Bassett on Geronimo. It's quiet, the drone of the highway isn't that bad and is in very good shape.
“Very Comfortable and Clean”
Great Beds with lots of pillows, Wide screen flat panel TV, free internet access and a room safe that fits laptop and camera nicely. Loved the do not disturb light from inside the room and 24 hour fitness center. Hot breakfast bar with scrambled eggs, waffles and fresh fruit. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Right off I-10 close to everything. Only down side, the curtains are very sheer-bring a sleep mask and you'll be fine, forget it--don't worry there is a Target right around the corner. We bought bottled water for our room fridge and stayed hydrated the whole week.
“great vacation spot”
this hotel was great. service was great. the use of the fitness center was good,never a crowd. breakfast was awesome, something to eat for everyone. i would recommend this hotel and if i ever go back will definetly stay here.shopping, movies, zoo, eating right there.
“Impressed”
My husband and I weren't expecting much when we booked the room, but when we arrived we were thoroughly impressed. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and the room was beautiful. This hotel definitely exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it in a heartbeat.
