Down Hall Country House Hotel offers 99 luxurious guestrooms. Beds feature duck down duvets and premium bedding. 32-inch plasma televisions come with cable channels. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided along with direct-dial phones, complimentary newspapers and in-room safes. Complimentary coffee/tea making facilities are available in all rooms. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, makeup/shaving mirrors, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Trouser presses and iron/ironboard are also available in all rooms. A turndown service, hypo-allergenic bedding and wake-up calls can be requested. Rollaway beds are also available. All guestrooms are non-smoking.

Down Hall serves our famous traditional Afternoon Tea daily between 14:00 - 17:00, reservations are recommended.
Gourmet picnics are a popular choice and guests can explore our extensive grounds to find that perfect spot to enjoy thir picnic.
During the summer enjoy Down Hall's Terrace restaurant, our alfresco dining experience in the sophisticated surroundings of the Down Hall estate.

“A truely wonderful place”
This is a fab place to stay, we have stayed in many beautiful places, but none quite like this,the pool and jacuzzi is exellent, food is lovelt too, staff are friendly, enjoy.

A beautiful period hotel with wonderful gardens and excellent dining.Food was wonderful, the staff were very pleasent and freindly and its only a short train journey into London with great connections so you can have a great shopping trip with luxurious accommodation to relax in after your hectic shop "I will be back"
“Dog owner's Delight!”
Having used this hotel by 'default'- it will certainly be our 1st choice next time! Beautiful old mansion; very helpful, pleasant staff. Dogs made very welcome and there are extensive grounds to enjoy. Altogether a wonderful weekend.....I might add that the bed in our room was even more comfortable than our own!

This hotel was absolutely stunning, fabulous rooms, the staff could not have been kinder, the food was great, bedroom exquisite, huge, lovely view over the gardens. It was absolutely fantastic. Nicer than many big name hotels I've stayed in.
“decent country house hotel”
Good overall, attended a wedding very quiet country house hotel, spacious room and very comfortable, Very easy to reach from London. Pool was not available, food served at the bar was substandard, my bed sheet had blood stains on it but on notifying it was replaced immediately. Reception was too small for the requirement. generally looked under staffed away from the wedding. Perfect as a wedding venue but there is not much else to do within the hotel or in the immediate vicinity
“Good value”
Beautiful property in lovely surroundings. Great value at current rates that included a good cooked breakfast and rooms well equipped with flat -screen TV's, WiFi (free) and irons. Location though makes it only sutable really for guests with cars.
“Stately home in extensive grounds”
Given the low price I paid as part of a special 'two night stay' deal I was not expecting anything outstanding. However, the service and location was five star for my overnight stays. The breakfast buffet was also first class and I found the staff helpful and attentive. I did not use the restaurant or other eating options for dinner but will be tempted in future. A major wedding reception on the second evening (Friday) of my stay made it difficult to use all the hotel's general facilities and I suspect the bed in my room could have done with a new matress as it's firmness was variable. I enjoyed extensive walks in the hotel grounds.
“Total indulgence”
We stayed for my partners 50th birthday with family. We hired a function room with dinner. We were allocated our own personal host for the evening who was brilliant. Food was great. The grounds of the hotel are stunning. A weekend to be remembered.
