“Great hotel”
This was a real find. Excellent condition, nice breakfast and good location. About 12 euros in taxi from train station and opposite a nice little cafe in the park. Miserable barman was only downer but we got over that. 20 minute nice walk into town where we liked Amadeus bar for drinking and the self service snack bar near the duomo for good value food. Definitely would go back to this hotel.
“Florence's biggest hotel”
Found the hotel most comfortable and spacious. Especially the different dining rooms which gave the option of varied menus and formality. It is not often that a choice of venue is possible.
“A satisfactory stay”
This is a large, rather impersonal hotel which caters largely for groups, and it was fairly crowded. However, it is within walking distance of the centre with all the attractions that bring people to Florence. We really only slept there, and one day the staff did not get round to doing our room, which we were not impressed with. The only meals we had there were breakfasts, which were more than adequate. There is a snack bar in the main foyer, but there is a very limited choice and what we had one evening was very average. The hotel has parking spaces, which is an added bonus as parking is very difficult in Florence.
“Will recommend to friends”
Very pleased with room, service, staff, breakfast. Hotel also takes bus tours but this didn't affect our stay. Used this hotel for our intial couple of nights in Florence, then returned for another couple of nights after touring Tuscany. Location on the Arno is away from the center - approx 15 minutes walk to the Duomo. You do need to be prepared to do a lot of walking from this location. Approx 12-20 euros for taxi from the Stazione Centrale depending on time of day.
“Fantastic Florence”
I would definitely recommend this clean, comfortable and spacious hotel to visitors who prefer to be a little on the edge of the main city centre, rather than right in the middle of the action (we found it was about 20mins walk from the main attractions, or there are buses close by). The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We had a lovely stay.
“Clean and tidy”
Great hotel for the price. Small shower but clean as a whistle. 15 minute walk for the city center but in Florence who wouldn't like a nice walk along the river.
“Very good”
I had a really nice stay there
“Good location and price”
The hotel is close to the Arno river and about a 10min walk to the main attractions, which was actually nice since we could get away from the busy streets filled with tourists. We also took a hop off/on bus tour, which had two stops very conveniently located close to the hotel. We had a triple room, which was quite spacious although I think one of the biggest in the hotel. There are some nice restaurants (more frequented by the local people) a few streets behind the hotel.
“Would use venue again”
Rooms small but very well appointed - had everything two women sharing would need. Communal areas very spacious, very good buffet breakfast. Tea and coffee facilities would have been useful in room.
“Nice and affordable lodging in Florence”
Great 3* hotel with amenities of 4* european hotels; spacious rooms with minibar and safe, extremely responsive and helpful staff, free parking and breakfast buffet, nice non smoking lobby/bar. about a good 20 min walking distance from Ponte Vecchio/ Duomo/ Pitti Palace
