“Best hotel I have ever stayed in when in Florence”
This hotel is clean and handy. More like a four star plus hotel. The staff was always polite and helpful. The breakfast was great with a variety of foods . Our room for three was large and lovely Many good places to eat around the area and location makes it easy to walk to most points of interest. I would definately stay here again in the future.
“Good value, good location”
If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, centrally located hotel in Florence and intend to spend your time sightseeing & shopping, this fits the bill. Travelled with our 14yr. old son and found this to be exceptionally good value for the standards offered.Excellent for a short break or a business trip.Staff were outstanding and couldn't have been more helpful.
“good value for money”
centrally located, great for airport shuttle bus.we were able to walk to all the sites and galleries from here. most of the staff spoke good english. the buffet breakfast was really good and set us up till supper time.the room was a good size and clean. the bathroom was also a good size and the tub fitted my 6'3" husband comfortably.the location was quiet at night and we would stay here again.florence isn't a particuarly cheap city but a good, "free" day out (not including the cost of chianti along the way) if the weather is fine, is to take a picnic up to fort belvedere, the views over the city are stunning, also the art exhibitions here are free, then walk across to san miniato al monte curch, entrance here is free, and then carry on to piazzale michelangelo and the statue of david and a lovely view of the sun setting over the city, reflected in the river, it is then a five minute walk back down into the city .
“Great short stay in Florence”
Excellent location next to SMN station. The room was very clean and modern, slightly smaller than we are used to but perfectly adequate. Buffet breakfast was the perfect start to the day. I would definately recommend for a short stay in Florence!
“Very good but on edge of Old City”
Hotel as expected was comfortable and gave an excellent breakfast, unfortunately a bit haphazard in replenishments so that the hot items got cold and the scrambled egg rather overdone. We found many reasonably priced restaurants, one very close but plenty to chose from beyond the railway station. Free internet access but erratic in odd ways (z and y transposed and @ nowhere to be found). The area was very quiet but the street outside was closed for engineering a future Tramway! On the whole very satisfactory.
“Very impressed”
Me and my husband just got back from our trip to Italy, we stayed in hotel Londra for 2 nights. We couldn't be any happier with the hotel or its location, simply the best! We are already planning to stay there when we go back to Florence in 2 years.
“Will visit again”
The location, very near the train station, was extremely convenient. The room was very large, with windows covering virtually an entire wall, overlooking Florence. A great value for the money! I can't wait to return to Hotel Londra again.
“I love this hotel!”
This was my second stay at The Londra and this time it was even better. The recently refurbished rooms have everything you could need - big bathroom, balcony, tea&coffee, elegant art nouveau decor plus you can enjoy a fab breakfast. The only real negatives are the exceptionally rude reception staff and the lack of English channels on the TV. Location wise - it's perfect if you're arriving by train and only 10mins walk to the Duomo. Would really recommend this hotel.
“An excellent hotel”
A fabulous friendly quality hotel 10 minutes walk from the main sights yet quiet and relaxing.
“Great stay”
The hotel was within walking distance to the train station and attractions. Our room was a great size with a nice bathroom. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day and there was plenty of variety.
