“Exceptional value”
Fantastic view of mountains, over olive groves all the way down to Bay of Corinth. Comfortable, clean, & a friendly helpful receptionist. Fire in lounge fireplace in evening & at breakfast. A little hard to find (on 1 way street below town)could use a directional sign in town. Thoroughly enjoyed our January stay!
“Great place to stay!”
We had a wonderful time at this hotel! It was quiet and the staff was very helpful. They spoke English well and actually let us look into a couple of rooms to choose which one we liked better! One side of the building has an amazing view (Delphi is situated high on a hill). The town is not large so restaurants and stores are easily in walking distance. The site of Delphi is less than 10 minutes away. The room was clean, the AC worked well, and it truly was a non-smoking room (not a trace of cigarette smoke smell). The mattress was not extremely comfortable but we found that all the mattresses in all the hotels we stayed in in Greece were thin and hard so I can't really fault Acropole Delphi. In sum, this is a wonderful place to stay with everything you need for a great and memorable stay in Delphi!
“Nice hotel, wonderful view”
A little bit tricky to find, but a nice clean room with a friendly staff. Good breakfast, too. And the view off our balcony was fantastic. Be sure to get a room on the back of the hotel, facing the 'sea of olives'. We had a wonderful time sitting on the balcony sipping our Greek wine.
“"Great views and location ... and goats too"”
Comfortable room, friendly staff, good breakfast, close to Archeological site and super views down the valley from our balcony. Be sure your room has a balcony. Sky color and clouds were impressive at both dawn and sunset. Enjoyed the goat herd that wandered into the field below our balcony at evening.
“A Pleasant Hotel”
The staff at this hotel was very accomodating. This hotel is just off the main drag, so it was very quite. The beds were a little too firm for my liking, but otherwise, I was very pleased.
“WONDERFUL LOCATION”
There can be few better views than looking over the valley from this hotel. Very good value for money but fairly simple and spartan. Would stay here again but I am surprised at the good reviews of the breakfast which was poor. Very well located for the sights of Delphi and you can park outside. You really dont need to stay here for more than one night in order to see Delphi.
“Very good sight and service”
The Hotel Acropole is a little hard to find, not being located on the same street as the majority of the other hotels of Delphi, but its situation confers to him a impressionnnant sight on the valley. We had a room on the side of the valley and we were really surprised by the sight that we had. The room was well equipped, with 2 simple beds, a television and the conditioned air. The employees were extremely attentive and the breakfast was correct. Probably the best hotel to spend one night to Delphes.
“room with a view”
Hotel choices in Delphi are very limited and most are best characterized as touring motel standard. The Acropole's furnishings were circa 1982 (the bathroom possibly a decade older!) but it was scrupulously clean and the staff friendly and helpful. There is a bar serving (expensive) hot and alcoholic drinks but no other amenities. Breakfast, once you had fought the line of German and French tour groupies, was good, offering greek yogurt and boiled eggs. The real draw of the Acropole is the views from the rear rooms, facing down the valley to Itea, where pilgrims in classical times landed to make the trek up to Delphi. One of the world's finest views, which more than makes up for the spartan surroundings. I'd stay there again.
“good location - that's about it”
Decent hotel. Probably as good for the price as any others in the town. It worked just fine, just don't get your hopes up. Great view and convenient to the archeological sites.
“Nice hotel, decent sized rooms”
The best thing about this hotel is the absolutely superb views from the windows of the rooms.it looked like there were some rooms without views though so perhaps we were lucky. The staFf on reception varied - some were warm, friendly and helpful, others less so. The room was clean and a good size, with a large balcony.nice quiet location
