“Location Location Location”
OK, I admit I'm here during the off season enjoying cheap rates. This place is Awesome!! I had a great time and it's a great value. The room isn.t fancy but was 100% functional and actually quite clean. Your balcony has a great view and being in room 506 allowed me to have an even better view. The beach recovery project has provided for a huge white sand beach. All the staff is friendly and welcoming. The 7-11conv. store is directly across the street so access to cheap beer and cabbies is easy. My return flight is at six AM so I couldn't rental a car. I hopped on the red 50 bus route at RSW ground level which with my bags took me to Summerlinn Square for $1.25 exact change. Same bus stop 15 minutes later and only 50 cents poorer I was on the new fancy beach trolley which took me right to the Lani Kai. Heading back on a 6AM flight which will require a $45 RSW shuttle fare plus tip but I'm about to head over to the 7-11 and see if I can barter a better cash deal from a cabbie. I am a seasoned traveler and hitting this place in the off season is a super value. I'm sure it's insane from late Feb. until mid April with Spring Breakers. This place has a family feel to it and I felt good about spending my hard earned money here. Make sure you catch the upstairs bar/resturant between 4and 7 PM for good drink and food specials. Tonight I had the prime rib special with lightly steamed crisp veggies and a baked tater for under $12 plus tax.

Every room has a balcony on the beach. Great customer service. We've enjoyed the Lani Kai for many years and will continue to do so in the future.

“THE place to stay on Ft. Myers Beach”
If you are looking for a luxury hotel don't go here. If you are looking for a clean, well appointed room, friendly and helpful staff, and lots of fun, this is the place to stay. There is always something to do at the Lani Kai. Dj's on the beach with watresses delivering your drinks right to your beach chair....who could ask for more? The Lani Kai is within walking distance of everything. They even groom the beach every morning. WOW! We will definetely be going back. When I read the other reviews of this hotel, prior to booking, I tried to read between the lines. It is an older hotel, and it shows it's age on the outside. If you look at the total package, this is an unbeatable deal. We had a great time. Thanks Lani Kai.
“An awesome vacation!!!”
I loved staying at the Lani Kai so much I am already planning to go back in a couple months! The view was beatuiful...every morning I woke up to the gulf waves! There is an incredible restaurant at the top of the hotel where the food is amazing and not overpriced. You can enjoy your meal outside while sitting in gliders and looking at the beach...it's so wonderful. There's music all day long on the beach and almost all of the staff is wonderful. There was only one lady that worked in the restaurant upstairs that seated people in the restaurant that had a real chip on her shoulder. Make sure when you go you try their world famous rum runners they are the best!!!
“Great location, party hotel”
Beautiful view from room, if you like to drink and party this is the hotel for you. Stayed five nights and had a good time.
“I will go back again”
It is an older hotel but for the price you can't beat it. Beach access is great. Just push G in the elevator and you are on the beach. The hotel has chairs and umbrellas for rent and has a kiosk for jet ski's and parasailing. The parasailing is a MUST DO. The roof top restaurant is great. The food is good. We were able to see the smoke plume from the launch of Atlantis as soon as she cleared the cloud tops on the east coast. The beachfront balconies are fantastic.
“Fun weekend”
Good little "get away" spot if you just want to enjoy the spirit of the beach life. Music, drinks and a good time. Not a hotel for people who want peace and quiet or expect to sit in the lap of luxury.
“Southern Comfort”
From check in to checkout everything was fabulous. The view is phenomenal, and the hotel is within walking distance to local eateries and entertainment on the boardwalk.
“Loved It”
Had an awesome time at the Lani Kai. This was my 2nd time this year staying at this hotel. Everybody who works there are awesome. Especially the waitresses on the beach. Great entertainment on the beach!
