“My home away from home!”
For the past 10 years we have returned to the Sheraton at Our Lucaya for our vacations. It's a wonderful place with outstanding staff.
“Will be back next year.”
What a great vacation can't wait to go back next year. Upon arrival we were informed that we have been upgraded to the Radison Our Lucaya although our room was not ready at check in, we took a quick tour of the property and had a drink at the pool bar. Our room was just as we expected clean, large, with a great view of the pool and ocean. Although housekeeping could have been a little more attentive to details such as towels and toiletries the room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff couldn't have been any friendlier and helpful, the grounds were clean and beautiful. We wouldn't change anything and would highly recommend staying here and we will be back again next year.
“one of best hotels on grand bahama island”
On my last trip I drove from one end of the island to the other in a rental car and of the different resorts I saw. This is the best of the bunch.
“Awesome location”
All good
“Sally & Larrys Bahama Anniversary Trip”
We love Freeport, Bahamas. At Lucaya Beach everything you need is within a very short walk from your hotel. The straw market, fantastic dining, especially at La Dolce Vita and China Beach, to casino. We always stay at Lucaya Beach and have been since our first stay 25 years ago. There are not as many things to do as there were 12 years ago, they have cut out a lot of entertainment because of the economy. But if you like to relax, enjoy the beach, the pool and all the other amenities, Freeport, Bahamas is the place.
“Peaceful Escape”
We arrived on time to Grand Bahama, and took a taxi from the airport, which only cost $22 to the hotel. The staff at the front desk were very friendly, the room was ready for us at check in, which was a pleasant surprise, as we were expecting to wait. We received a room with a King bed as requested, the room was nice and spacious with a great view of the pool and a partial view of the ocean. The closet in the room was enormous, and it had a safe to use for your valuables. The hotel was very nice, staff was friendly, the beach and all grounds were very clean and well groomed. Beach was spectacular, beautiful sand, and Billie Joe's hut is amazing for a lunch. Great fish, do not miss it. An added bonus was the Lucaya Marketplace across the street. Great place to walk around, window shop, and find a great restaurant for dinner.
“Second Time Visit”
This was our second year going to the Lucaya reef village and we hope to back again next summer. The pool and the waterslide is fabulous and the beach is beautiful. The staff is extremely courteous and they organized fun things for the kids such as coconut bowling. Across the street is Port Lucaya which offers many shops and fun restaurants to eat at. This hotel is very conveniently located so if you need anything you can just walk across the street. Can't wait to go back!
“Bahamian get-away”
Fantastic get away! Didn't know what to expect - and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was warm and friendly and went way out of their way to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Great pools and a fantastic beach. One of the best aspects of this hotel is the market across the street. Everything you want is there including many restraint choices. Very safe. Le Med is very highly recommended - breakfast, lunch or dinner. They grow their own vegetables and you could taste the freshness. Their early-bird special goes to 6:30. The only negative from the trip is that the hotel is showing a bit of age - but who wants to stay inside? Highly recommend this trip.
“We Shall Return!!!!!”
A wonderful experiance. We go there to relax and everyone was great. The breakfast pasteries are extra special. Thanks to all the staff for taking such great care of all our needs.
“Awesome Bahama trip!”
The hotel staff upgraded our two adjoing room reservation at the Reff Villlage to a suite on an upper floor of the Radisson. The suite was beautiful and large. Fifty foot balcony, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, large living/dining room, kitchen, nice furniture in all rooms, CD player, 2 TV's. Everything was within walking distance and everyday we figured out a way to be on boats in the ocean. We had a great time.
