“Great service, Great beach, Great Goan experience”

This was our second visit in 4 years and will certainly return! We went to relax and we treasure the quiet of the property and do not feel isolated. There are loads of activities, some which occur one time a week: the outstanding horticultural tour of the beautifully landscaped 46 acre property, pottery making under the plam trees, kite flying on the beach, even a Goan cooking class (there is a fee for this one and worth every rupiah. You are served your meal, in the beautiful Casa Sarita and also receive a cookbook). Then, daily, there is yoga at 9, breathing at noon and meditation at 5.30, each session is 30 minutes. All of this is free! The staff are so friendly and you feel welcomed by everyone. The Sereno Spa is gorgeous and has so many different pamperings and treatments, including ayuvedic, you could easily miss the beach and pool completely if not careful! we have visited India several times and shopping, other than some outstanding Darjeeling at the Tee Shop in Margao, was not a priority for us. Wondeful variety of foods, everything is so fresh, and the staff takes such pride in what they prepare and serve. All menus seem to be available just about all the time and even through room service. Do come and allow yourself to relax and soak up the sun, or chose the shade of the palm trees while still enjoying the sound of the many waterfalls around the property. And a walk along the white sandy beach at sunset is a must.

“Beautiful Hotel”

This hotel deserves its 5* rating through and through. It's a beautiful resort with every amenity available on site. There are several pools; all equipped with sunloungers (and a policy not to "reserve" your lounger by putting your belongings on it!!) and staff who regularly bring you menus for the poolside bar. There are 5 restaurants on site as well, giving good variety, and eliminating the need to travel elsewhere to eat. There is traditional Punjabi, traditional Goan, Italian (that actually tastes authentic), the bar which does tapas-style bar nibbles, and the beautiful beachside restaurant "Palms" which does freshly caught seafood. Each and every restaurant does beautiful food - the best by far at any hotel. If you order something "western" it actually tastes like it should. The only downside of staying on the resort to eat is that the food is quite pricey, though you do get what you pay for. It can add up over time though, if you are eating there 3 times a day. There are also shops on the resort (admittedly, more expensive than the shops outside of the resort) but they sell a range of things from souvenirs to clothing. The downside to this hotel is that it is not within walking distance of the nearest town (5 mins drive away) though there is a small grocery shop just outside the complex for nibbles (the minibar is very expensive). Customer service was excellent - they are always polite and obliging and they all speak English really well. Would definitely return!

“A great choice”

We were delighted with all aspects of this hotel. The service was outstanding. The personnel were invariably obliging and helpful. We also enjoyed the spa and fitness facility, which included free yoga classes. The pool is extremely pleasant, and the beach is even better. We were taken aback that breakfast was not included, but the price for superb masala dosas turned out to be modest.

“Winter holiday”

This is an excellent hotel in every way, and the ideal place for a relaxing winter holiday. The only slight drawback - and noticeable immediately - is the slow service at breakfast time. Waiters often do not seem to understand the simplest requests and take ages to bring (for instance) a pot of tea!. The only way to resolve this is to deal with their supervisors directly - who were always very helpful.

“Liked it so much we didn't leave the resort all weekend”

My 8 year old daughter especially loved this resort. The pool has meandering channels with slides in between that enchanted her. She had so much fun she disappeared for a couple of hours a day into Camp Hyatt, the kids program, to play and create art. The beach had a gentle slope where she felt comfortable playing in the waves. The restaurants were really good and a nice change from general Indian food buffets.
