“You can recommend it to anyone”
A perfect luxurious resort. We received everything what we received. But food they can concentrate little more.
“Amazing service & experience!”
This hotel was absolutely perfect for my friend and I traveling around India. The hotel location was beautiful, the views were breathtaking, and the staff was more than accommodating. The food was also delicious, although pricey for India. I would absolutely come back here!
“Perfect - with a fanastic beach”
Clean, comfortable hotel. Excellent breakfast and fantastic location. Beach restaurants ( not part of the hotel) offer incredible choice- some 200 dishes at ridiculously cheap prices and it was all delicious. Will go back soon.
“Wish I could have stayed more than 1 night”
I booked a deeply discounted twin room and expected to find my room at the back of the hotel with no view, and was pleasantly surprised that I was booked into a twin 'villa' with its own yard, sun lounges and patio with a view of the ocean. The room was spectacular--elegant decorations, wonderful sound system and sparkling clean bathrooms with a large sunken tub and a 'rain' shower. The new bar/lounge on the southwest edge of the pool was also great--it felt like it had a more youthful, modern edge.
“Tropical paradise”
The complex is located approximately one hour from the airport on the Arabian Sea. It is abolutely beautiful and the service at the hotel could not be better. We had a late flight out on our last day and they allowed us to stay in our room until the shuttle bus (free) picked us up at 4:30pm to take us to the airport. Our room was a ocean view walk out and worth the few extra dollars. The food at the resort was excellent and I would return without hesitation. The resort shares facilities with the Taj vacation villiage next door and a free shuttle service runs between the two resorts continually. Good, clean tourist taxis are available for hire at the resort for excursions, and are very reasonable.
“Dated but wonderful service”
I was initially disappointed to find that this hotel is somewhat remote from the real happening areas in Goa. Without getting in a car it was not possible to explore these areas which meant extra expense. However the resore itself while a bit dated was lovely, the staff were warm and friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Day trips from this hotel are very expensive for the single traveller as they insist on a minimum of two people for each trip so if there is only one person you have to pay the full value of two people which makes seeing the surrounding areas very expensive.
“Goa excellent Hotel”
Stayed four nights while in India. Service excellent, staff very friendly, happy real smiles. Food very good with many styles not just Indian.
“Great for a family vacation”
I had first been to Fort Aguada for a company offsite in Feb 2010 and was so 'wowed', that I decided to go back again. IThe next time (Nov 2010), it was a family vacation. The first time, I stayed in one of the cottages which afford a spectacular view along with a well-appointed room. I would highly recommend this if your budget permits. On my second visit (personal trip) I stayed in a garden-facing room. While we didn't have a view of the sea, it provided easy access of the swimming pool and coffee shop. Given that we were travelleing with our kids (Daughter of 3 years and son of 5 months respectively), the hotel took very good care of our needs such as an additional cot, heating milk from our carton on demand etc...It is a child-friendly resort and would higly recommend Fort Aguada to anyone travelling with family.
“Beach Vacation in Goa”
Very nice hotel with outstandingly good service. The rooms are on the smaller side, but very comfotable and all have at least partial view of the ocean. Good variety of restaurants and meal choices for lunch and dinner, only breakfast was a little crowded as only one restaurant is open. The pool and hotel beach vacilites are very well maintained and nearby (2 minutes on foot) Taj Villas complex can be used by all hotel guests as well for even greater variety.
“Best in Goa”
WE stayed in Goa for 11 nights and spent 10 of those at Ft Aquada. The service was top notch and the food was good. Travel to the local shopping, scenery, resturants, etc was easy and fun.
