“Great hotel for the money!”
Great hotel for the money! The gentleman at the front desk (I think his name is Benny) was extremely helpful in giving us information about where to go and what to eat in Haifa. It seems that this hotel is best from someone that his traveling by car. Would highly reccommend anyone staying at this hotel while in Haifa for a couple days.
“not impressed”
TERRIBLE LOCATION AND VERY DANGEREUS,,HERTZEL STREET..HOTEL DIRTY ROOM NEVER CLEAN EVERY DAY I HAD TO CALL AT 7PM TO HAVE THEM CLEAN MY ROOM AND BRING ME TOWELS, THE RECEPTIONIS WHEN I ARRIVED EARLY IN THE MORNING WAS NASTY. HE DID NOT LET ME IN MY ROOM. THE ONLY POSITIF THE BEAKFAST WHO WAS SERVED IN THE RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR WAS GOOD AND PLEASANT MEN..AND THE MANAGER WAS NICE AND THE DAY RECEPTIONIST. DONT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL EVER.. ALL THE EUROPEEN PEOPLE WHERE COMPLAINING.
“Old-fashioned hotel, with construction noise”
This is a very old-fashioned hotel in a down-at-the-heels neighborhood. The staff was very gracious, and the room and building were clean and in good repair. Nonetheless, the hotel has some significant drawbacks. The first is not the fault of the hotel, but significantly affects the quality of the stay. The street in front of the hotel is torn up, and apparently has been and will be for years. Work on the street excavations can go on all night, making it difficult to sleep, and taxis cannot actually drop one at the hotel. Another negative point was the quality of the breakfast, included in the room. Most Israeli hotels have excellent buffet breakfasts, but this one served a fixed menu, with juice that tasted worse than Tang, and artificially flavored jam. The eggs and Israeli salad were good, though. Finally, I could not succeed in placing a local call to the city from the room, even with assistance from the desk, and the lobby computers were so out of date that I could not access my e-mail. I know Israel well, and I have to say this hotel--and the neighborhood--took me back to the mid-1960s. I only booked a room there because I could not find another hotel room in Haifa, since I needed to make last-minute arrangements.
“Gallery Haifa in Occupied Palestine '48”
Very very very very small room. The only space large enough to place my suitcase was either on the bed or on the bathroom floor.
“unpolite service”
very unpolite lady at the reception, Hotel has a roof terrasse with nice view, but not well done, only 2 tables, not inviting to stay there.
“Never seen anything like it”
Room floor was dirty and so was the bathroom floor. There was no soap, shampoo, or conditioner in the room. The refrigirator or as i was told mini-bar was not working. There was no batteries in remote control to tv. The towels had stains on them.
