“Excellent service at the Lord Nelson”
Always very much satisfied with my stay at the Lord Nelson. The staff is most friendly and helpful, always ready and willing to be of assistance. Excellent service and keep up the great work. Sincere thanks.
“extremely impressed”
extremely satisfyed with the hotel in general and cannot say enough about the hotel staff from the front desk, maintainence, right up to the manager. They were all first class and I am looking forward to my next trip to the east coast, and yes satying at the Lord Nelson.
“Horatio Nelson himslef would love this hotel!”
Book into this hotel without hesitation! It's friendly staff, terrific ammenities, and elegant atmosphere are nothing short of excellent! GREAT location in the heart of Halifax - my husband and I highly recommend staying here. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit & will stay again when travelling to this great city.
“Fit for a lord”
We booked last minute and took a wild guess that the location was central. As it turned out the hotel was on the corner of a very nice road, with a gorgeous park across the street- visible from our room and along another street with many nice restaurants. The room was clean and nice with a small kitchen. We only heard a bit of noise from above. The only criticism I have is that the staff didn't seem to have much knowledge about the various questions we had for them, and the night attendant was a little sour the first night. We did not try the hotel food as there was so much choice along the main road. All in all a good experience.
“What a great place to stay!”
From the moment I arrived (having forgotten the key to my suitcase lock at home) the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Food was wonderful, and the suggested sight-seeing was well worth the walk. Centrally located, the Lord Nelson and its wonderful staff would be my first chioce for any future visit to Halifax.
“Will definitely go back”
Ideally situated - walking distance from harbour, Citadel and many other attractions. Hotel is very comfortable, staff friendly and helpful.
“Good deal”
Nice hotel, completely renovated in a convenient location.Underground parking.
“will stay there again - hopefully sooner than later”
took my son to Dal and staying there was very handy - for both simple shopping, exercise and restaurants
“Will go back any time”
It was a great hotel, we stayed in many hotels during our 12 day trip to Atlantic Canada and this was the best hotel we stayed. Will stay again any time. Great location close to the water front.
“Lots of Character-Good Location”
The Lord Nelson is across the street from wonderful botanical gardens. And an easy walk to the Halifax Harbour. The Hotel has a lot of polished brass and marble. Good value.
