“Great Value for Money”
Great value for money. Although the rooms are small (as stated by other travellers) they are ideal and definitely good value. The breakfast buffett is great with a good selection including cereal, eggs, german sausage etc and plenty of bread. The staff at the hotel are very helpful. Although based in the Red Light area this was not an issue for us and I don't think it was overly obvious. The hotel is very central in particular to the main train station and most things were in walking distance. Just one word of note the pillows provided are quite flat. We asked for an additional 2 which was provided promptly. On the main road opposite the train station there are some lovely bars and restaurants. Overall impressed with the hotel and very impressed with Hamburg for a City Break.
“excellent location”
Excellent location right by the train station and bus station very easy to find the hotel. Just out of the way from the red light area so you don't get all the noise that brings. All hotel staff were fleunt in English which was a help as my German is not that good. very nice Buffet breakfast sets you up for the day. Room was okay a bit basic but for the price you have to expect that. Bathroom was very clean If I am ever in Hamburg again I will certainly stay in this hotel again.
“Satisfied”
This hotel is very close to the train station in Hamburg. It's actually just across the street, if you exit the station from the correct exit. It is just off one of the main streets. Hotel Elysar Novum was clean and the staff were friendly and spoke English to me. The only odd thing was that I had to leave my room key at the front desk when I left the hotel premises, which I did not like. The neighbourhood was fine, as a woman travelling by herself I felt safe there. In conclusion, I would recommend this hotel.
“Central, convenient and quiet”
The reception staff were very helpful and the hotel was quiet and clean and the breakfast was plentiful. The position was good as just a short walk from the main railway station,tourist bus and shops. The hotel is however in the "red light district" of Hamburg which came as a bit of a shock. The en suite facilities in the rooms were in what would once have been cupboards so had very limited room.I would be happy to stay in this hotel again.

Great hotel -we had 1 night stay & everything just what we needed. Great location just round corner from train station & easy to find.
“Great value, close to station and shopping district”
The train trip from the airport to the main station was very convenient and stress-free then it was only a short walk to the Eleazar Novum which was easy to find. The main shopping street runs from the station to the rathaus and main square. There is a supermaket upstairs at the station. The room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was fine but all the tv channels were German. I would certainly stay there again because if was excellent value and location was great
“Good option to stay for one night in Hamburg”
This was an extremely convenient location - right accross from the Main trainstation, with taxi stand and public transportation nearby.
“good setup”
I spent 3 nights in this hotel during my visit to hamburg and have been not disapointed.my room was clean and tidy,good continental breakfast,and very polite and helpfull staff at the reception desk,and hotel is within short walking distance from main trian station wich was a big bonus. I would use this hotel in my future trips to hamburg.
“Excellent Hotel”
We spent Christmas 2005 in this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was great and the hotel was easy to find. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful. Would definitely go back.
