“Mr. D”

“Wonderful value for the money”
By far the best hotel I've stayed in in Hamburg. The staff were extremely friendly and solicitous. A girl who was in training at the hotel gave me a tour of the facilities when I arrived, including the lovely terrace overlooking the Elbe. The room was large, well-furnished and quiet. It's a little pricier than the norm, but well worth the extra money.

“Top class in every respect”
The Louis Jacob hotelk is top class. I stayed there for only one night on a business trip in Hamburg, and I wished I could have stayed for longer. This is a much better hotel than the Hyatt which I bokked for the rest of my trip. The service wa impeccable from the moment I set foot in the recception. The room itself was fairly traditional, but quite large with a well equiped bathroom. The only negative ppoint was a fairly old, small TV - its needs updating with a modern flat screen - but as I don't watch TV in hotel rooms, this was not a problem. I imagine the more expensive rooms have a view over the river, but my room was in the annex accross the road, not the most convenient if it is raining. I ate in the Jacob bistro which was buzzing with a great atmosphere, an interesting short menu and pretty good value for money and again the service was brilliant. Breakfast was as good as it gets (not cheap though), withoiut quite the range of choice that some of the bigger hotels offfer, but with high quality items and nothing was too much trouble. I would recomend this hotel to anyone who does not need to be right at the centre of Hamburg. And for a romantic break it woould be excellent.
“Superb Service and Charming Hotel”
The staff are as helpful and polite as any I've seen in years of business travel. Charming hotel, interesting views of the river, and exceptional service. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Dinner in the tavern is a must!
“Perfection”
This was our second stay at this lovely hotel. The staff is very friendly and speak fluent English. No request is too small or too large. They will take care of it. The hotel is located away from the center of town in a beautiful up-scale residential area. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. We had a car and there was underground parking for it. Excellent food. A wonderful hotel.
“Best Location in Hamburg”
I have visited Hamburg several times as it is my corporate HQ for the last 11 years. I rarely have the chance to stay in such a nice hotel and due to expedia, got to stay at a good value. The hotel is situated right on the water, so if the weather is nice, which it was during my visit, it can be one of the most relaxing places to be. The staff go out of their way to assist and ensure that the stay is most memorable. The restaurant was one of the best meals that I have had anywhere in the world, and more impressive was that I was in a group at the dinner, so they managed to accomplish this to a large party.
