“Wonderful!”
We recently stayed at the Royal Beach on a Secret Saver deal so were absolutely overjoyed with this hotel. When we arrived a twin had been booked rather than a double - there was no problem, and the staff happily changed us to a double room with a sea view with no extra charge. The room was lovely - big and light - but the bathroom could do with updating. Adequate and very clean but not of the same quality as the rest of the hotel. The pillows were quite hard - perhaps take one of your own. Breakfast was fantastic - a vast selection even in the middle of the week. The staff were all wonderful, very polite and couldn't do enough for you. We had a brilliant night here, and would definitely return.
“excellent hotel”
I stayed at this hotel for only 1 night from the outside looked a bit tired but I have to say the staff were very efficient and friendly, rooms looked as if they had been recently refurbished very comfortable clean and cosy. The restaurant was excellent service and standard of food fab
“Standard Beach Hotel”
I do feel it was overpriced for the quality, however, it did provide the location that was necessary and if I were to stay in this area again I would not rule it out as a place to stay. It was clean, the furnishings are outdated.
“Long weekend stay.”
Thoroughly enjoyed stay. My room was large, reburbished and very comfortable and clean. The housekeeping staff were very pleasant and helpful as were the reception staff.
“Typical seaside holiday hotel”
A nice, old fashioned hotel refurbished to today's standards. Great staff, good food and very friendly. Spoiled only by their catering for too many private functions AND the local night clubs which cause noise until 2, 3 and 4am at weekends.
“Not impressive... At all!!”
We arrived at the hotel and at the reception the gentleman wasn't the nicest of all. Got to the room and, it was lovely. We easily forgot the not so enthusiastic service we received upon arrival. The room was clean and very, very comfortable. We had dinner and started to notice some people arriving to a party at the hotel. By 22h we were in bed and everything was nice. That until we start hearing the loud, loud music coming from the party. Called reception and were informed that it would last until 24:30. After saying that they had to resolve the issue because we booked the room because we needed to sleep and rest - why else would you book a room?!?!?!! - we were sent to the 4th floor. We moved but, although we couldn't hear a thing, the room was freezing and the heating in the bathroom didn't even work. In the morning, when we checked out we got the bill (and although we has previously paid for the room) we were asked to pay the room again. The issue was sorted but the girl was rude, took a long time to resolve this matter and didn't even apologize. Could have been a nice experience but... simply wasn't!!
