“Enjoyed Our Stay”
We liked this hotel even though it was away from the center of the town. The hotel offers shuttle bus three times a day which is quite convenient. It is not expensive to take a taxi here but be aware of dishonest taxi drivers for unreasonable charges and speedy meters. It is a very quiet hotel and staying here is a break from all the noises. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They always give valuable advices. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the hot croissants in the morning. Yum...
“Highly impressed”
We were highly satisfied with our stay at the Sheraton Hanoi. It exceeded our expectations and we would stay here again if we were to return to Hanoi. The buffet breakfast was excellent - it was very elaborate, serving both Western and Vietnamese choices, and an omelette and Pho bar, prepared to taste. The location on the lake and proximity of wine stores and other area restaurants make it a choice location. The rooms are comfortable with very large bathrooms, with separate shower and bathtub. We used the the internet service in our room (by cable) and the wireless internet service in the dedicated internet station on the main floor, and we connected with ease. The service overall was very good, the employees pleasant and helpful. The on-site restaurants have varied menus with reasonable prices and room service was also excellent. One of the top choice hotels in Hanoi. Would definitely return again.
“Loved the Sheraton!”
We booked the Sheraton for our remaining nights in Hanoi after coming back from Halong Bay and absolutely loved it there. The service was much better and friendlier than the other 5-star hotel we stayed at. The rooms were bigger and cleaner and there was a complimentary tray of fruits on arrival. Everyday we received bottled water and chocolate. Coming from Japan, we found the prices so reasonable compared to Japanese hotels. Would definitely stay there again.
“Lunch Buffet was Extraordinary, Superb !!”
Hotel is very beautiful, Lunch Buffet, extraordinary!
“wonderfully cool and welcoming”
The Sheraton Hotel in Hanoi managed to save what might have been an uncomfortable stay in Vietnam because of the summer climate - 40 degrees in the shade. The air-conditioning in the bedrooms and restaurants made the hotel a great place to return to after all the sightseeing. The staff were all very friendly, the rooms very spacious and comfortable. The pool area and its adjacent gym were superb. The Sunday Champagne brunch was excellent - my daughter and I sat there for 2 1/2 hours. If I were ever to go back to Vietnam the Sheraton would be the place I would stay. The area was quiet and the taxi fare into the centre of town was very reasonable.
“Island of Luxury”
We had stayed in the old part of Hanoi and loved it but we needed a place to stay between flights and this hotel came up as the closest to the airport --- still a long way from the airport. Nevertheless, we paid for an upgrade and enjoyed the lounge and breakfast the next morning. Everything was great for a one nighter. But if you're vacationing in Hanoi and want to really experience it, don't stay in a luxury hotel!
“Sheraton Hanoi a Great Stay”
Sheraton Hanoi is situated on West Lake and on the way to the airport. My 11-year old daughter and I traveled in February 2011 and were happy with our overall experience. The staff were very friendly, kind and efficient (except the restaurant where the service was a bit slow). We appreciated the complimentary shuttle bus service from the hotel to City Center, the driver was very accomodating and on time. We were pleased to see some travel centers downtown that were very helpful and arranged our transportation from the hotel to the airport for $10- no hidden fees or extras. Since the weather was a bit chilly we didn't use the pool but it looked nice and well kept. We went on the Halong Bay Cruise and did some shopping as well as toured around the city.
“Very Good Hotel, will certainly use again”
Very welcoming hotel, with professional & attentive staff and a can do attitiude. Limited number of restraunts but quaility of food very good none the less.
“Great for a short trip.”
We wanted somewhere with easy access to airport,so this hotel was perfect. All facilites that you could want from a short stay.I did not think the Buffet food was that great , but we did eat late. Very clean and staff very helpful.
“Good hotel with a need for some upgrades”
This hotel is basically pretty good. The club floor has only the minimum one would expect. the club floor breakfast was very poor, but as a club floor person you could go to the main breakfast which wasn't bad. Service is good; internet access v good including wireless in the lobby and broadband in the rooms. Good location if doing business in this part of Hanoi and/or want to be a bit closer to the airport.
