Easy checking and very friendly staff. Only issue was receptionist spoke no English so it was a little awkward getting through the check-in/ parking process. Otherwise everything was great
This charming hotel is in a walled town that is sure to make your day—and you are surrounded by vineyards.

Decent option near Colmar
Great location for exploring the area. Very clean, spacious, plenty of hot water, and friendly service. Didn’t feel like an old abbey, just a building remodeled in the 80s. The walls and doors were quite thin, had to deal with loud neighbors and a baby throughout our stay. Bed was very firm and the breakfast was just OK for €13.

Amazing village and a very nice place to stay
We stayed during the very hot season and it was terrible to sleep in +32C with no conditioner. During other season the hotel could have been just great!
They have a parking, good breakfast and very nice hotel staff who speaks good english and ready to help. No night staff.
The hotel were so welcoming and we had excellent service. The rooms we had were so clean, well appointed and allowed a good space to sit inside our room or outside in the garden. The buffet breakfast offered a good choice of meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals and breads.
A wonderful place to stay in the small town of Kientzheim, which is a former convent of 11th Century. I had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the vineyards. There was no coffee maker or microwave but the lady that checked me in provided an electric kettle to heat water.
Beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms. Pity there is no restaurant and no tea/coffee making facilities. Also only restaurant in village was close d for holidays.
Both the hotel and Kientzheim were a lovely surprise. We have visited Alsace for more than 30 years but never been to Kientzheim before - hidden away as it is.
We would highly recommend the hotel with just one negative observation - the internet. The connecting system is now very old-fashioned. Not only does one have to go through filling in so many details but more important, you have to do it several times a day !
Lovely historic building and location with rooms to modern standards. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our schedule did not allow us to take an evening meal but the breakfast was presented to a very high standard.

lovley character old hotel
lovely character hotel with modern nice rooms, breakfast and staff
only minus was that wi-fi did not work in our room and that this is a problem in the old building so ask if this is important to you
We had a very pleasant two night stay. Hotel is very well located in the middle of town with excellent parking at rear. We had a nice large room with some views. Fridge in room with mini-bar. Just found the beds a bit hard for our liking.
This was one of the best hotels on our trip. Our room was spacious, clean and modern with all we needed. Kienzheim was a beautiful small town with some great wineries and close by car to many other towns within Kietzheim. My only disappointment was that breakfast was extra, and being a small town this is the only choice if you don't want to drive 10 minutes to the next town for breakfast. If this was included in the price it would have been perfect. Overall however a great place to stay!
Room was so small and very hot asked to be changed but was asked to pay £20 more and still no aircon wanted even more for an air con room. Receptionist was very rude.To get out of bed had to close window as room was so small.toilet seat was very warn and no plug to dry hair in bathroom.it was a shame as hotel was very pretty .
We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel l'Abbaye d'Alspach in Kientzheim. The room we rented for 3 people (2 adults, 1 child) was a very comfortable space with living room and 2 bathrooms. The two-story layout made us feel at home. My daughter loved the cat that was roaming around and there was a nice sitting room. It was Easter, and we had a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant Schwendi, which was only a short walk away. If ever back in the Alsace wine region, we will stay again without hesitation.
The location is perfect if you want to park your car and head off on foot. The entire village can be walked around in 15 minutes. There are many wine cellars located along the main street, and a small beer garden in the village square. It is easy to walk to nearby villages through the vineyards. Highlights of the area are the vineyards and wine, plus the excellent cuisine that is a available in the restaurants in this village and those nearby.
This hotel is in a tiny village, with only four businesses: two resturants and two wine cellars. Therefore it is so quiet we heard our footsteps echo while walking to dinner. The delightful commerce of Alsace is only down the road a few kilometers. The Town Hall has several monuments about wartime France/Germany that are powerful reminders you are in the middle of very old historical geography.
Lovely country-side small hotel. Very convenient to Alsace wine trail.
Lovely place in very small town. Only 1 local restaurant, but is less than 1 mile from Kayserberg, which has many restaurants & is a very nice town. Very convenient for visiting wineries & small towns on the Alsace wine route. Good parking. We were on top - 3 rd floor. No elevator - typical for these types of small hotels, so be prepared to carry your suitcases yourself up the stairs. Would definitely stay there again.
Accueil : peu beaucoup mieux faire...
Ca me réveille. Faute de réponse on essaie directement d'entrer dans la chambre...heureusement j'ai mis le loquet. Je réponds que je dors.
Je me rendors.
