“CHARMINGLY WONDERFUL!!”
This is my 4th year staying at La Verniaz. It is a truly charming hotel in every way. The family ran boutique hotel is top notch without having that hotel feel. There are 3 seperate cottage-style buildings with old-world charm decor. The swimming pool and tennis courts are very close by in distance. The rooms vary in size and all have evening turn-down service. There is no air conditioning so it was warm a couple of nights. However, that being said, the hotel has many trees that surround the property and is up the hill so its cooler. The restaurant is Michelin star with exceptional service and food - without a doubt the best in Evian. TIP: If in warm weather, grab a table in the courtyard to dine. It will be an unforgettable experience!
“Would happily return”
A small and personal hotel overlooking Lac Leman. Pleasant rooms overlooking the lake and the Chablais mountains. Excellent restaurant (you do have to book in advance) and traditional French breakfast. If you are thinking of skiing it is a bit of a trek to the Port de Soleil facilities, but if you are sight seeing or walking in the Chablais it is ideal.
“Lovely family hotel in charming location”
This was my second long weekend stay in 2 summers to Evian-les-Bains, and La Verniaz. I was welcomed back by the reception very cordially. As the prime purpose of my visit was to see French friends who live in Evian, La Verniaz served purely as a base. Nonetheless, it was perfect for my needs.
