“Best breakfast and view money can buy.”
Quirky, not for the excessively picky traveler. Great for folks who want a peerless bargain! Best breakfast and view money can buy. Walking distance from shops, food, sea front and farmers market. Internet in lobby was strong enough for Facetime. We walked everywhere. Road noise was invasive at night as our room was on the street side and the airconditioner needed an attitude adjustment (rattling) but once we adjusted and turned on the AC, it adequately drowned out all road noise. Perfect balance of experience, price and accommodations.
“go back every visit”
family owned and run, makes you feel at home ,very relaxing. tantes the restaurant attached is awesome. great food ,friendly and "aunty " sings and plays ukelele while you eat breakfast. will always go back.
“OUR RECENT TRIP”
I LIKED THE KONA SEASIDE HOTEL VERY MUCH,IT WAS VERY GOOD LOCATION TO GETTING TO EVERYTHING WE WENT TO THE BIG ISLAND TO DO,ITS NOT A NEW HOTEL HOWEVER ITS VERY CLEAN AND WELL KEPT,THEY GAVE BOTH OF US A FREE BREAKFEST EVERY MORNING AND I DONT JUST MEAN COFFEE AND DONUTS,IT WAS AT THE RESTRANT BEHIND THE HOTEL,,VERY,VERY NICE THANK YOU AND I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN
“Great Location in Kailua-Kona Town”
Good quality hotel right in the heart of Kailua-Kona town. Close to restaurants, beach, museums, sightseeing and shopping. Good step-off point for island tours, snorkel and fishing tours from the pier, and just walking around. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel, but the grounds and rooms are well maintained. Many rooms have ocean views and the air conditioning is included. I was surprised that there is a charge for parking.
“Quite pleasant hotel experience for budget price”
-This stay was just pleasant experience. The hotel has an interesting location with easy walk to many anearby attractions, tourist stores and eating places, but also close to services and stores that the permanent population often use, on the north side of town. That gave us a warm feeling of being a bit integrated with the real town life - instead of living in an artificial or theatric surroundings - which may happen in some resorts. Yet, the hotel faciliy is surprisingly well shielded from extrenal tourist noise. Rooms and grounds were very clean and well kept. For best room comfort, just remember to select low speed on the A/C electronics; that makes the room both nicely cool and relatively quiet Our balcony view included both the lush and fine trimmed hotel garden plus some of the bay and boats. But you also see some back sides of stores with less artistic impression. Nevertheless, in a trip to Hawaiii, there is so mych more to do than staying in the room ! The included breakfast was another pearl. You get a closeup view of the bay full of boats in morning activities, through a wide open building aperture. Add to this a pretty tune by a lady, her soft pling-plong ukulele song, plus a warm and tasty good size food order, and this breakfast goes to the Pleasamt Memories Folder. We had good use ofhe wireless internet connection. with a reasonable weekly price. It was typically donloading at 1.7 MB/s fine for video streaming. A GOOD PICK
“GOOD TIME”
STAFF WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND ACCOMODATING..ROOM WAS CLEAN AND BEDS WERE MADE UP PROMPTLY EACH DAY. ONE MORNING WATER WAS NOT QUITE HOT AT THE WASH BASIN BUT WAS WARM/HOT IN SHOWER. THE BREAKFAST FURNISHED WAS VERY GOOD WITH OUTSTANDING SERVICE. PARKING WAS A LITTLE BIT OF A PROBLEM AS IT IS A PREMIUM ANYWHERE IN KONA. OVERALL IT WAS A PLEASANT STAY. THANKS
“Pool hours”
Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is in a great location. Complimentary breakfast was lovely. The only issue we had with your hotel is the pool hours. We were very busy during the day and would have loved to enjoy a dip in the pool in the evening but it closes at 6! Overall we enjoyed our stay.
“Wow! what a Gem.”
Our stay at Kona Seaside Inn was a wonderful experience. I will not hesitate to return or recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
“Would abolutely recommend”
The staff at Kona Seaside Hotel was very friendly and hospitable. The hotel was very clean and the room was as well. It is in a very good location too.
“Very comfortable with friendly staff”
The staff was very helpful and friendly, the bed was comfortable, the view was good and the room was large enough and kept at a comfortable temperature. There were 2 negatives: no coffee maker in room or coffee available in the lobby and the room was noisier than we would have liked. We could hear traffic noise with all doors & windows closed.
