This condo was very nice! it's very clean and convenience. The room size was good enough. Location was also good. The kings shop and queens shop are very close, which we can buy anything we need. Just one thing, there is no elevator, since our suit cases were very heavy, it was only our concern. Except this point, I recommend this hotel for you.

“A FABULOUS PLACE TO STAY!”

The Fairway Villas were absolutely gorgeous. The grounds immaculate. Quiet with a beautiful view of the golf course. The villa that I stayed in (F-22) was the the most beautiful condo I have ever stayed. Cherry cabinetry, granite countertops, huge bedrooms, tall ceilings, wonderful view, impressive decorating. I could go on and on. Waikoloa Village was designed with great vision. There is no need to leave the area to want for anything. Wonderful restaurants and top-end shopping. The golf courses are spectacular. The beach area has turtles sunning everyday. I would have guessed to pay twice what the rate is offered through Expedia! What a deal! Not only would I return, I'd considering staying........what a wonderful place to retire!!!

“The picture does not do justice”

Beautiful view and relaxing asmosphere. Rooms are cleaned, floor plan was great. Backyard is the golf court and lake. We understand that these condo are invidual owned and managed by a rental management company. For saying so, the funiture and each unit can be equiped differently. We stayed in unit N6, the owner has great taste in decoration and spend good money to equip the unit. Some people did not like the idea of not having house keeper every day. That did not bother us. Will try to rent this same unit again, if we come back to the big island

“We will be back next year.”

This was the second year in a row that we have stayed in the Fairway Villa's. I will go back again next year. I have visited the Kona Coast for the last 25 years and Love it. Excellent Location for families with all ages, from children to seniors. Also thinking about going back for the Holiday's

“Great for famililes”

When on a weeklong family vacation to Hawaii recently, we stayed at the Fairway Villas for one week. We opted for a condominium in order to cook for ourselves rather than eat out every meal. I found the unit spacious and very comfortable with a master bedroom suite, single room with twin beds, and a sleeper sofa in the living room, so all three of our children were easily accommodated. Cable TV and a dial-up connection to the internet were also available in the unit. The washer/dryer in the unit was a godsend. The location was convenient, five minutes walk to the nearby Kings Shops, which had a "general store" with limited food supplies but lots of cheap tourist items, side by side with more expensive shops, galleries and restaurants. A Shell gas station is also located there, as well as an ATM. Groceries were purchased in Waikoloa Village, a 7 mile drive away. The next closest full service grocery was in Kona at the Safeway. The money we spent on a week's worth of groceries matched the bill we paid for our one dinner out. The complex had a nice infinity pool and exercise room, as well as gas grills for all to use. The public beach was a three minute drive away (slightly too far to walk, but not impossible). For golfers, you couldn't find yourself in a better place.

“Loved it!”

This complex was fabulous for families. We went with a couple other families and it was perfect. The condos are fully stocked. It even had beach towels and sand toys for our son. We would definately go back to this complex. Walking distance to A-Bay and the Kings Shops was another plus!

“Waikoloa Fairway Villas - Twice as good the second time!”

Aloha! Our second visit to WFV and Kona was even better than the first. We checked in without any issues. Our 2 bedroom condo was very clean. We'd wanted a top floor unit as we'd had one before - but we got a second floor unit this time - no biggie. Still great golf course views. No real noise issues. Easy in-and-out parking – having a carport this time was nice as the shade kept the car a bit cooler. The grounds at WFV are very well maintained. The saline pool is nice (small but adequate). There are even more shops and restaurants in the Waikoloa area than last time we visited. Bring your money if you want to enjoy the convenience of these shops as they are pretty pricey – even by normal Hawaiian standards. The new supermarket (like a pricey Whole Foods) was real nice. We hit up Costco on the day of arrival for some essentials (margarita mix, tequila and beer) and filled up the fridge with food from Safeway. Having a condo with a kitchen adds so much to the entire vacation experience. We were able to entertain some friends who happened to be on the Big Island at the same time and it just makes the trip all the more enjoyable. We did the luau at the Fairmont Orchid, checked out Kailua-Kona, swam with dolphins with the Sunlight On Water outfit (AWESOME!), hit up Kiholo Bay (gnarly), lounged around A-Bay (walk-able from the condo) and ate, drank and were merry. For what you get – this place is very fairly priced. If you can swing it, go now!

“Too Noisy”

The hotel itself is nice but too much noise if you are on the 2nd floor from the top floor, we heard everytime the family above moved. They had little kids and it was very noisy. Also the condo we stayed in did not have near the anemities that our friends had in theirs.

“Poor sound insulation”

The resort grounds and facilities were very nice. The unit was also very nice. The only problem is if your ears are sensitive to inter-unit noises. If you can't ignore people walking normally in bedrooms and in the living room area, you probably don't want to stay here. If you are able to ignore the noise (we always use a CD of a running river set on repeat all night long, even at home), then you will enjoy the unit

“My Big Island”

Absolutely love the Big Island. We have always stayed in Kona before, but this time decided that Kohala Coast would be better and it was. Our condo was great, loved the location across from Queen's shoppes and giant grocery store, very convenient for my family. The kitchen in our condo was great had everything. We cooked almost every night of our stay and every breakfast. The condo was very clean and having a washer dryer is key with 2 kids. The only down fall to our condo was the bed in the master was awful super old and very uncomfy, as well the bed linens were very old and less than desirable. We would stay there again because the size and location were perfect for us, but we would request a different unit hopefully with a better bed. I am pretty sure all units are privately owned.
