Dissatisfied

Few disappointed in our stay at Marin hotel. There was no parking on-site. You must park at nearest city parking location and walk to hotel. This wouldn’t be bad except there isn’t a place to drop luggage before parking. Once in the unit AC was not working (they promptly corrected). The shower had mold/mildew on walls. We advised the staff and they sent someone to clean the next morning. Next shower it was back. Gave up on having this corrected. Staff was very nice in saying they would send someone to re-clean, unfortunately I think the exhaust fan was not operational in the bathroom. After booking this room in February, I read this same issue happened in other rooms.

Lovely hotel located at walking distance to the port, tourist area and the bus stop to the airport. I travelled single, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, perhaps the shower on the small side but I am not big either :). Good breakfast with a view. Friendly, helpful staff. THANK YOU!

For calling this a boutique hotel, the bathroom was very dated and in need of severe remodeling. I didn't even use it. There was mold in the shower/tub. Too expensive.

This place was worse than a Motel 6 in the US. There was black mold in the shower, and the lighting in the room was dim like in a horror movie. You could also hear people talking in the hallways and going in and out of their rooms. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Staff was very helpful, both at front desk and at breakfast. Location was good for us - close to shopping and to the ferries. Only downside is that the rooms are very small. family room had 3 beds and very little floor space.

Okay for one night.

The front desk was helpful at check-in. The room tho had a strange smell and the a/c didn’t work very well. Breakfast was okay. The location is great and close to the port for ferry rides as well as a great downtown area with food and bars.

Basic room near ferry terminal.

Quite a basic room. Clean. Reasonable condition. Balcony was much smaller than expected. The neighbouring rooms' balcony is also side by side with ours, and separated by a piece of frosted glass that isn't fully covered. We can basically crawl under to get to the next room and vice versa... View from the room was nice. Breakfast is additionally chargeable. Hotel is near to the ferry terminal and the main shopping area. We are happy with the location.

The hotel is in a good location, next to the port, the fort and the pedestrian area. We reserved a sea front room with double bed, we got a narrow door with small window to the sea and two small beds despite reservation made 2 months earlier. The pictures do not represent the room

Very disappointed!! We were in room 201. In the bathroom there was so much mould !!! And even that you can remove with your finger. It hasn't been cleaned at all. It was so disgusting. We told the manager on shift that night and his answer was : well, it needs renovation.. we can do nothing for you. Also we could hear people talking on the street ! It is not isolated at all. For the rest, we did sleep well in the bed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel since it is below every hygiene standard !

The hotel is located in an excellent place and really is walking distance from the port (though there is a bit of an uphill portion) and very close to a major bus stop. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. The hotel rooms themselves are clean and modern but the bathrooms are a little dated and may need some work . The shower is tight and there was a bar in mine that was rusty. The light in my room flickered constantly and we had to leave it off. I stayed for one night so there was no time to make a complaint. The beds though are wonderfully comfortable though the blankets are thin. Aside from that the breakfast included was excellent and the view from the breakfast area was beautiful.

Great hotel close to port

Great hotel close to port. Very helpful front desk. Breakfast buffet had a good variety of food. View of port from balcony was beautiful. Bus station was only a few minutes walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

Get a room with a view of the Fortezza and balcony if you can, but even if unavailable, the hotel is wonderful. Parking garage, port, and grocery store very nearby. Pedestrian area lined with restaurants, coffee shops, and stores are nearby, too. Highly convenient hotel that is managed with care!

Superb Customer Service

Customer service was superb. View from our room was great. Location is walkable to everything Heraklion old town has to offer. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Would highly recommend.

Amazing staff. Amazing service. But it was not quiet. Banging coming from somewhere throughout the night. And people outside were loud even with windows closed. This was in December. But for one night and the price, would recommend.
