“It's has the Wow factor, we will return!!”
We have just arrived back home, but all of our thoughts are at the Vergis Epavlis. We were made very welcome and shown around our suite "The House of Flowers" it was far more luxurious than we ever imagined. Every detail was attended to and no expense spared in the furnishings. It is truly beautiful and then to step out onto the balcony and take in the spectacular views of the valley below and the surrounding mountains. It is truly awesome. The food is all "home cooking" and ingredients used are organically grown locally where possible. The breakfast is Cretan style, tasty and very well presented. We cannot wait to return and no future holiday to Crete will be complete until we return again to the Vergis Epavlis!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Felt right at home!”
The staff was extremely polite and hospitable. They made us feel like we were back at home, except in a much more beautiful place! One night,we decided to randomly buy groceries from the store and cook ourselves a meal at home, however when we got back, our stove was not turned on and it was too late for them to turn it on. So, the manager at the hotel offered to let us cook our pasta at his place, using his kitchen. It was a great experience! The manager also helped us plan our days, giving us a detailed intenirary of where to go and what to see in our time frame. The only thing that could have been improved would be the AC system (which did not work too well and so we had to keep opening and closing the windows to get cool air) and the water would keep getting cut off. However, everytime we made a phone call about the water,they fixed it in an instant. The location is a bit hard to find, but they do their best to make it easy for you to find!
