“Will recommend it to everybody”
We stayed in the metropole first time 2 nights and a few days later for 4 nights. the hotel is an excellent place to stay in the lifely quarter of HCMC and is on walking distance of a lot of bars and small restaurants. Staff was very friendly and good english speaking. Willing to make the best of our stay in the hotel. breakfast was good with a wide range of breads and asian food. Al though the hotel is on a busy corner you don't get to hear much noise in your room. Also the airco is not noisy .
“Great Value!”
Great Hotel, rooms are big and renovated, price is fantastic!! Location is ok, close to Backpackers district
“Short stay in HCMC”
Only had a two day stay but overall it was enjoyable. The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff were very helpful. The massage I think was more for males than females as my wife didn't enjoy the experiance.
“Great find!”
This hotel was fabulous. Wonderful buffet breakfast, very contemporary "boutique" rooms. They were able to give us adjoining rooms with our two teens! Very comfortable. No hesitation recommending this hotel. Good location for walking to covered market and local shopping. They even did 3 pieces of laundry each day for us! A well appreciated service!
“Absolutely ok stay”
Everything was absolutely ok from very beginning to the end. Only terrible experience was massage service but it doesn't affect my opinion about the hotel itself. Me and my fried took foot massage. At first the room where they did the massage was so noisy that it wasn't relax at all (as it should normally be). Secondly 2 chinese men just smoked all the time. I hate that. Third - the massage wasn't good at all and masseurs demanded tip what was the same sum I paid for service itself. I didn't paid so much tip. I'd never go there again. But hotel was fine and I'd visit it again.
“Vietnam for vacation”
Metropole was an excellent hotel to stay at. We stayed there from Jan 9-14th 2009 for our trip to Saigon. We decided to book it again from Jan 20-23 because we were very please. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and nice. The condition of the hotel was very clean. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but was fine with us. You can also exchange money at the reception desk. The only thing is the Metropole is a bit far from most attractions, but the cab fares are very cheap and you can get pretty much anywhere for $1-5 USD.
“Beautiful Hotel”
Beautiful hotel, great spa and pool. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. I was within walking distance to several sites and the walk was great way to see the city! Would definitely book again.
“Enjoyed our stay”
We booked a deluxe room for 3 nights in August. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. We were able to store our bags there while we made a trip to Hoi An for 4 days. On our return we were upgraded to a junior suite. The rooms were clean and comfortable and there was a good choice at breakfast.
“Awesome hotel!”
My wife and I stayed here a couple weeks ago at the beginning of our trip. The room was beautiful and beyond expectations. Two weeks later when I stepped out of the tax on our next visiti, the bellperson named Khan/Can/Cam remembered me from my previous stay and remembered my name! He was awesome! He took care of all my requests from the last time I stayed in this hotel. I liked the hotel the first time I stayed there and the second time was even better. The staff is top notch. The bell staff is much better than the people at the front desk. One complaint was that both times on checking out, I wanted to pay all my room charges by credit card. They told me that the machines were not working for some reason, but to go get the cash from ATM's that were within a couple blocks from the front desk. How is an awesome hotel not able to charge something on a credit card? How do they do business without having their staff figure out a simple credit card transaction? That is my only complaint. Rooms were clean, beautiful and the staff was awesome with every need, including getting us ice for our beverages in the evening. Try the massage on the 3rd floor at the hotel. It is about $9 for an hour. My wife and I went across the street to a place to the left of the hotel from the front door and both had a manicure, pedicure, head shampoo, massage and river rock hot stone massage for a total of 3 hours for about $15 a person.
“Can't wait to go back”
Very impressesd with everything from the staff, to the location, breakfast and the pool. The bellman were always making sure that we had the best deal on cabs and could reccommend great places to eat. All the attention to detail was incredible.
