"The front desk never said a word until he asked name and card. The place was stinky. They wanted to charge $100 per night as an incidental fee which was more expensive than the room. The clerk was rude. We left."

"We got there and I had booked a two bed but they said they were out of two bed rooms, so we got two rooms instead and the two rooms we got both had people already staying in there, so we got a third room and the fire alarm was hanging by just wires"

"We were in town to visit my son and this hotel was such a disappointment. Almost everything that could go wrong did. First of all, after a very long day and tired and "hangry", our check in took over 40 minutes. The desk clerk didn't seem to know what she was doing, and this didn't start off our visit well. Next, excited to relax in the hotel tub, we were told that the hot tub was out of service. Very dispapointed because this is the main reason we booked this hotel. We went into the room and it SMELLED!! It smelled wet, mildewy and just plain rank. We asked for another room to be told that there were no other room available. (Strange because we didn't see another soul in the hotel). Woke up in the morning to the coffee machine being out of order, waiting for employees to dish up their breakfast on the buffet, Breakfast consisted of paper thin cardboardy bacon and watery eggs. Possibly the worst hotel experience I've had. We checked into another hotel across the street for a lovely experience."

"I am 85 years old and agent at check-in immediately asked if I needed a handicapped room. Replied no, I am older, but I am not handicapped. I said I would like a room with a walk-in shower rather than a tub, but one was not available. I was given a handicapped room anyway; however, I’m glad I wasn’t disabled in any way because it would have been difficult to manage in that room. 1) There was a raised divider in the floor between the 2 different types of flooring. This could have caused an accident for anyone especially someone with difficulty walking, which I don’t have. 2) the bathroom was huge… Apparently allowing for a wheelchair, etc.,… But there were no obvious additions for handicap other than a rail by the tub and one by the toilet. 3) the tube bottom appeared to be quite smooth, thus providing no traction that would help a person stand safely in the shower. 4). there was no nightlight or any form of additional heating as is normally found in a hotel bathroom. 5) it seemed to me that the linens, including the towels and the sheets were quite worn. 6) all in all I was very disappointed with my stay at this Hampton, even though I have stayed at others which were in for better condition 7). The lighting in the room was not adequate for me because the lamps were giving off just very dim light. 8). I left a day early. I did not stay for the second night, even though I had paid for it because I just was not comfortable and could not stay in this room."
