“Classy and quaint.”
This a quaint classy hotel. Fabulous staff and service.
“Canterbury was awesome!”
Excellent hotel, with an excellent location. Direct access to the mall from the second floor of the hotel. Convenient parking garage directly accress the street. You can pretty much walk anywhere downtown from the Canterbury. The hotel had tons and character and charm. Highly recommend.
“very nice”
it was a very nice stay the desk people were very nice
“An attractive and well-maintained classic”
The common rooms and my own room were in excellent shape: a very attractive, small (now often called "boutique") hotel in the center of downtown Indianapolis. My room was small as was the bathroom, but both were confortable and quite adequate for one person. The food was excellent for dinner (sea bass) and breakfast (standard eggs, toast, bacon, and potatoes) and the bar was very congenial. The concierge parking was less expensive and far more prompt than at the larger and newer hotels. Many fine restaurants are within a block or two. It was raining, and I chose to eat in the hotel dining room which was as elegant as when I dined there fifteen years (or more ) ago.
“Superb visit”
The staff at the Canterbury was most gracious and helpful. The hotel is intimate and very comfortable, unlike the large convention hotels. The room was small but adequate and very clean, as was the entire hotel.
“Historic Comfort”
What a jewel; luxurious and comfortable. Only regrets are missing coffeemaker and microwave in room (a boon for room service, of course.)
“Fantastic hotel”
This is a fantastic hotel that lives up to its reputation for personalized service in a great location. One of the better ones I've been to in a while.
“Very nice hotel”
very clean and great food
“Good independent hotel”
This is a very quaint hotel with personality and free Internet. It's very convenient, right in downtown and near Lucas stadium. My only recommendation would be for them to have more power outlets in the room.
“Wonderful charm!”
This hotel has been beautifully restored and has wonderful character. We ate there 2 different evenings and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again on any future trips to Indianapolis.
