Helpful staff, great location, breakfast room with beautiful water views.
“Great Location”
Location is great, right behind Haj Sophia, plenty of shops and restaurants around corner. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, I enjoyed my brief stay.
“A great boutique hotel.”
The hotel has a great location by the Blue Mosque, the Topaki Palace and the Aya Sophia and across from the Four Seasons Hotel. It is a boutique hotel, family owned and operated. The beds are comfortable, the rooms & hotel are very clean. The staff are accomodating, friendly and the breakfast was excellent in a rooftop restaurant with a fantastic view of the Bosphorous. It was very quiet at night and some excellent restaurants are within walking distance. Two couples were travelling together and we highly recommend this hotel.
“Small, friendly hotel in a great location”
Rooms are quite small but have everything you need and you don't go to Istanbul to stay in your room all day. Lovely Turkish buffet breakfast in rooftop restaurant. Wasn't overly impressed with the restaurant for an evening meal, but there are lots of good alternatives within easy walking distance. Biggest plus is the superb position, just a few minutes walk from the Topkapi Palace, Agia Sophia and Blue Mosque makes it hard to beat.
“A lovely, friendly place to stay”
This is a great hotel, with well-kept rooms, an extremely central location (my bedroom looked directly over the Aya Sophia) and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The bathrooms were very nicely designed with gorgeous marble. There's only one problem potential guests should be aware of - from time to time, possibly when too many people were having a shower at once, the water cut out for 15 minutes or so. Other than that, I couldn't recommend the place more highly.
“Great place, great location!”
This hotel was just pefect for our stay. The whole experience at the Valide Sultan was very good. Only one downside, the menu in the restuarant was limited, and not cheap, and the wine prices were too high, but that said we would certainly return and stay at the Sultan Kunagi. Friendly staff and very very clean and comfortable.
“Charming hotel with a great location in Istanbul”
This hotel is charming and in a great location, within a few blocks of the haggia sofia and blue mosque. Everything was very clean and well kept. The people were very friendly. The property has recently been renovated and was in very good condition. The rooms are a bit small by US standards, and americans might find that a bit of a problem, although my wife and I were fine with that. Breakfast was in a charming room on the roof, with great views of the Bosphorus. There was little variation in the otions day to day, but the breakfast had many options for all palates. There are many nice restaurants close by and there is easy access to the trolley and buses. It is also within walking distance of the Grand Bazaar. The prices were very reasonable.

Very friendly, helpful. Extremely high standards of cleanliness. Only slight question re size of double room, classified as "de luxe" on booking, but not very big, nowhere to sit. But in all other respects very satisfied.
“Teh best you can get for the price”
The hotel is located nest to the Palace and Aya Sofia. There are really good restaurant close by and the service in the hotel is 5 stars.
“Great location”
The hotel is in a great location, right next to Topkapi Palace. It has a lovely roof top bar/restaurant and although the food was only OK, the atmosphere and views are fantastic. I would certainly stay there again.
