“pretty good, but..”
I was there on a business trip and can notice that the hotel is located quite suitable and it seems to be almost the centre of the city. Attempts to be prestigious.. There're good service provided, a range of necessary facilities, sincerely wishing to help personnel. But, there was the feeling that it needed to be cleaned. Generally, it's good enough, quiet, cosy, but definitely not the first class, rather a moderately rated one. I'd recommend to stay there with some reservations.
“Good hotel, Reasonable price”
Grate hotel, Really recomanded. The only concern is the cost of food and internet and the fact the the room needs some care.
“Spotless, comfortable and quiet”
I can remember two incidents I wasn't very impressed with, one small matter regarding free drink, the other in my opinion seemed very serious at the time, now I'm not sure if the consequences would have been too dramatic.
“Crowne Plaza”
This hotel had all the facilities i required. It was exactly how it was described in expedia web pages. Big comfortable room, pleasant staff, easy access to anywhere by taxi. Nice pool and all at a very reasonable price.

Hotel facility including room and public area are up to the standard of a Crowne Plaza hotel. Hotel staff is friendly. The only entrance to the hotel is by a major street with limitation of 3 or more passengers per car in the morning rush hours. This made arrival at hotel by car difficult in the morning. Nearby hotels offer back street entrance as alternative, but not this one. My visitors complained bitterly about this problem. Another issue is about the hotel management, who failed to observe Priority Club room upgrade policy. I had to ask, but was denied at first. At my insistence, the staff looked up the policy and agreed to upgrade after 10 minutes of discussion or argument. This is the worst among tens of Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, and Holiday Inn I stayed worldwide.
“A little overpriced”
I ended up getting an smoking room - I requested a non-smoking room. The A/C didnt work. All other services were ok. The main restraunt had great food. Staff was very helpfull.
“not impressed”
Negative: The hotel is not particularly cheap, so I would expect that internet charges be included in the room rate. TV reception was not clear, and the hotel has an appeal of old days gone, somehow outdated the hotel is located at a central, but hopelessly jammed road; taxis have to make huge detours if they come from the wrong direction. the neighborhood of the hotel is gnarly and needs some clean-up Positive:The bed was comfortable, bathroom clean, size of room ok
“Jakarta a dump”
I have travelled many parts of Asia, and Jakarta has been the worst experience so far. The hotel was supposed to be in a nice area, it was horrible. Streets and people nasty. Lovely hotel, but poor service, compare to the malays or Thais I didnt feel this was up to 5 star standard, poor service, not genuine. The hotel as with many in Jakarta is a prison, entrance blocked with security and bomb checks on all cars. I wont be going back
“Poor value for money”
Poor value for money and lack of any style in room furnishings, bed covers etc. Breakfast service was really disappointing with most of the buffet not being replaced so choice was extremely limited despite an hour before breakfast time expired. Location is excellent but not enough to make up for the at best 3 star room and service. Will never stay there again.
