“Friendly Alaskan Service”
While this hotel caters to the business traveler, as a somewhat leisure traveler I found it comfortable and affordable for the amenities.
“Infrequent Maid Service”
I didn't realize there would be no maid service unless I stayed a week. However, the front desk staff was very friendly offering extra towels, etc. if needed.
“Good stay”
Nice staff. Fairly clean accommodations. Extended stay residents were a little louder than I normally expect from a hotel, but all-in-all it was a good stay. Although immediately adjacent to the airport, there was very little noise as a result. Fairly close to several restaurants and a short dive to the glacier.
“Everything we expected”
The location of the hotel was within walking distance to the airport. The room was equipped with a complete kitchen area so we were able to prepare meals when we came in from our activities. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and, except for problems with wi-fi connections which were solved after 2 days, we were completely satisfied.
“off to a bad start”
When we first arrived at 1130 PM the hotel janitor handed us our room key. We went to our room only to find it uncleaned from the previous guests. We went back to the front desk to get another room & were told that he (the janitor/night receptionist) did not have the authority or ability to give us another room. He was also unable to pick up the phone and find someone who was able to give us another (clean) room. We had to leave the hotel & drive around in search of another hotel. I went back & complained the next day & was able to two nights free stay. They are screwed up, but they did the decent thing & made it right in the end. I will be back.
“Juneau is lucky to have this hotel.”
The staff is very friendly and accomadating. Will stay here next time I am in Juneau.
“Able to walk to the airport”
It was nice to be able to walk from the hotel right to the airport. Restuarants were also within walking distance
“Good for brief or extended stays!”
Too bad I only stayed a night! Check-in was fast. Staff was friendly and hotel conveniently located to airport (so close that I would have walked if I didn't have a large suitcase). Shuttle transportation provided and a complimentary breakfast (though, limited in options).
“Rude front desk”
The room was comfortable enough and the location is right across from the airport. They advertise wi-fi, but you have to pay for it. The front desk clerk acted like I was putting her out. She was bothered by having to do any part of her job. There is no shampoo or conditioner in the room, you must ask for it at the front desk where I was not going back to. Luckily I only spent one night since they don't change out the linens daily. The bed was nice, but it was quite expensive. I am returning to Juneau in two weeks and will find elsewhere.
“Juneau's airport hotel”
Overall a pretty basic business hotel steps from the airport.A car is a must if you elect to stay here.Very few eating options within walking distance of the hotel. . The room was small with the kitchennette along one wall.The pillows on my bed were old and smelly.The beds looked well worn out and desperatley in need of replacement.The bedding was not exactly fresh and clean and I requested the secong night to change the bed linens ,which was promptly attended to by the hotel service staff.They also gave me new pillows. Our room was refreshed every other day -bed made,towels changed . I found the room and the bathroom clean. Check ahead with the shuttle service.They are pretty busy and cannot always accomodate your requested times.We had to reach our destination an hour earlier since they did not have service available at our requested time. The breakfast is bagels and cut fruit and coffee.Wish they had something more wholesome- like eggs or oatmeal or cereal The internet is available for a flat fee per stay around 5 dollars,which I liked. Did not use the pool area but saw some families in there.It looked ok.
