From its charming location on a tree-lined boulevard on the South bank of Brush Creek water parkway, this boutique style Raphael Hotel offers guests convenient access to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment, including carriage rides on the Plaza. This converted 1927 apartment building has an intimate, neighborhood-like atmosphere. Room service is available 24 hours, and the hotel serves three meals a day in its signature restaurant, Chaz on the Plaza. The business center is available for photocopying and faxing services, and offers limited computer access. A meeting/conference room, luggage storage, and complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access are available for use.

Rooms
The 126 city view-rooms of this half-hexagon-shaped Raphael Hotel in Kansas City were originally apartments, thus creating nine distinct residential-style floor plans. Beds have pillowtop mattresses and Egyptian-cotton sheets. Bathrooms include deep soaking bathtubs, designer toiletries, hair dryers, and a makeup/shaving mirror. Separate sitting areas are available in most rooms. Work areas include complimentary high-speed Internet access, a desk and an ergonomic chair. Each room has a high-definition television with cable service, ESPN, and HBO; a multi-line phone with speakerphone and voice mail; and a laptop-compatible in-room safe. All accommodations are nonsmoking.

Chaz on the Plaza - The hotel's signature restaurant is designed to reflect the city's unique spirit, culture and history. Menus feature creative American cuisine. Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
Chaz Lounge - Features classic cocktails and small plate specialties. Local and regional artists perform original music and popular covers Tuesday through Sunday. Happy Hour on Monday - Friday from 4 - 6 PM with drink specials and appetizers.
Entertainment
Chaz Lounge offers notable Kansas City jazz and other genres performed live Tuesday through Sunday evenings. String ensembles perform classical, jazz, and pop favorites on the patio terrace Fridays and Saturdays from 5 - 8 p.m. May through October, weather permitting.
Recreation
The Plaza Tennis Center three blocks away includes 14 outdoor lighted courts, a pro shop, café, and locker rooms. A day spa in the Plaza provides health and beauty services (surcharges). Located 1.5 blocks south of the hotel is 75-acre Loose Memorial Park, which has a scenic walking path.

“Beautiful and old”
This is a great boutique hotel in the most charming part of Kansas City. I will always stay here on any return trips to the city.
“Classy Hotel”
We arrived over the Labor Day Holiday. We were greeeted by courteous personnel who brought our luggage to our room & offered to park our car in the secure lot. Our room was very nice & spacious. We especially enjoyed the frig stocked with beverages & the cabinet stocked with nuts & chocolates. The following morning, I drank all the coffee & requested more. The additional coffee was brought to our room without any delay. This hotel was a pleasant surprise & we will definitely stay again!!

This hotel is very old with newly renovated interior. The location is great with easy walking distance to the plaza and great places to hang out....
“Very impressive hotel”
We enjoyed the Raphael. The staff was most curtious and helpful. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the "patio" with our group in the mornings and evenings. We would stayed here again.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and prompt. The room was perfectly clean and beautiful. The decor is beautiful from the lamps to the plush beddging. We highly recommend this hotel and stay there each time we are in Kansas City.

“First-class hotel”
The Raphael is just a stone's throw away from the Country Club Plaza, with its many shops, coffee houses, and restaurants. Everything about the hotel is first-class. Our suite was clean and roomy and bright. The bedroom was good-sized, with plenty of space to store our clothes, and the king size bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was small in comparison to others I have stayed at, but the water pressure was strong and the water hot and plentiful. I would recommend the Raphael to anyone looking for a weekend getaway in Kansas City.

This was our second stay at the Raphael. This time we upgraded to the suite and it was worth every penny (our last room was pretty small). As before, the staff was helpful and courteous. They have a nice little lounge and we enjoyed ending our day with a martini and live music.
