“the best (for the price)”
helpful staff who actually spoke english. very clean room. high speed internet free of charge made it possible to make video calls to my family. Good value for the money.

In very good location, near the night market, dream mall shoping, sanduo shopping centre, sky tower. This is perfect location.
“One of the Best in Kaohsiung”
"One of Kaohsiung's best kept secrets!" The hotel was excellent, spotless and the staff was very friendly, courteous and went out of their way to be helpful. Most of the desk staff spoke very good English and were immensely helpful in telling the taxi driver's where we wanted to go. Good location and easy to find.

“Sunshine Hotel”
The Sunshine was a pleasant surprise when we arrived after a 10 day cruise thoughtout SE Asia. The staff could not have been nicer and they actually rushed things along for an early checkin at 11am. The hotel lobby is small but very lovely with marble and brass. The room and the hallways all look like the carpet has been recently redone. The bathroom was a nice size with separate bathtub and shower with shower gel, shampoo etc. The bed was on the hard side but after being at other hotels in Asia during this trip a hard bed seems to be the norm. The hotel is within walking distance to the river and a shopping mall. The breakfast leaned more toward asian type breakfast but still provided good coffee. toast and other western type food. Good ending to our trip to SE Asia. If you have the time make sure you take a tour to the Monastery 1 hr outside the city (the one with the large buddha). It is a very peaceful and beautiful place.

We loved the hotel, staff were helpful & polite. We had a deluxe room & thought the size of the room was unreal, loved the king size bed. Breakfast had a great variety of food to choose from.

“Great Hotel with One Caveat”
This was a great hotel and I really enjoyed my stay here. But I do have to mention the breakfast buffet. It was the most Asian of any buffet that I have experienced in Taiwan. There were no western choices except toast. Everything offered was catering to Asian tourists. Even the eggs were tea eggs or scrambled with green onions and radish. I enjoy these type of breakfasts, but I have traveled with family members who would not.

Room was good but breakfast was terrible - very few varieties and many cooked items were cold !!! It would appear that the hotels are catered to mainly locals or mainland Chinese tourists.
