“Terrific staff, indifferent hotel room.”

Simple little room, rather cold and the heater didn't work. Insufficient bedclothes. Washbasin (room 127) had been smashed and badly re-assembled. But - and this is a very big but - the staff at the hotel and restaurant could not have been more pleasant, friendly and helpful. All queries sorted immediately and charmingly. Best staff I have encountered anywhere.

I found the Capanile a pleasant place to stay as a base for the visit I made to the Dartford area. The staff were pleasant and most helpful. The room itself was clean, tidy and comfortable. The hotel does not provide breakfast as an inclusive price, but it can be arranged in their very pleasant restaurant. Breakfasts available are as much as you can eat continental, or for a little extra a full cooked meal.

“Campanile dartford”

Good all round hotel with a good location. The food was very nice and I really enjoyed breakfast. A convenient Asda is just five min down the road also.

Seeing I was disabled the desk staff kindly moved me to a more spacious room with plenty of room for the wheelchair to turn around, and handles in the bathrooms. At breakfast the staff were very helpful indeed. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially as there are lots of disabled person parking spaces right by the front desk.

“Would not go again”

When we arrived after a very long journey all we wanted was to dump our baggage, get a hot shower and something to eat, before falling in to bed. First problem was that the security door was broken, so anyone could come and go into the accommodation block, which was not good for peace of mind. The room was OK, quite clean and nor real problems there. We went down to the restaurant and it looked quite nice with a choice of a large buffet, which the staff were really trying to push, or menu for individual meals. We chose a meal, which came quite quickly, but both looked and tasted absolutely disgusting. The brocolli was brown, the lamb was absolutely foul tasting, and the chips were really dry. The cost was not cheap either. At the end I complained about my meal and was told that "lamb was an acquired taste and no-one else had ever complained about it before". Totally dismissive and couldn't care less. The buffet looked as if it had been sitting out for ages and a lot of it looked dry and tired. Next night we went to McDonalds rather than go back to the hotel to eat again!!! Definitely would no book here again.
