“Nice hotel, nice location”
This hotel seems to cater mostly to older tour groups. However, the amenities (including the pool area for kids) are also suitable to families.
“Gleneagle hotel Kilarney”
disapointed with hotel,it was more suited for coach groups,felt a bit dated.our rooms needed updating but girl on reception was brilliant and moved us to better rooms.rooms were very clean but have stayed in better for the price charged.attitude of breakfast managers very bad-if you not in a group they didn't want .know.this was on the sunday and monday.Irish staff very friendly .Reception area felt very tired which made you feel like the rest of the hotel needed upgrading
“Not worth the money”
This hotel is not worth the money! The public areas including the bars and restaurant were fine with good entertainment and food nightly, which was reasonably priced. The room which we stayed in was below par to say the least, a distinct whiff of damp, a dodgy toilet and a faulty T.V remote were just a few of its failings. In short a complete refurbishment is needed to bring this hotel back to where its price suggested it was. We did expect more from this hotel which just didnt deliver. There are better hotels in Killarney than this for the money, just make sure to check them out before booking with this hotel!!
