“Best service for a long time”
This is a 3 star hotel and the decor and furnishing are good for that. However it is the service and food that is exempelary. Check in was very helpfull, offered to print out map for the local attaction we were visiting next day. Decided to eat in hotel without high expectations (having eaten in plenty hotels). I was wrong. Despite a large party at another table the service was great, menue varied and with good dishes. The food lived up to the rest of the service, first rate.
“Good hotel, shame about the wedding party”
We stayed here on Saturday 20 August. Good points: Hotel receptionist was friendly and very helpful and the room itself was a good size, well maintained and clean. Good selection of food for breakfast and the fry up was one of the better ones we've had. Bad points: There was a wedding on at the hotel when we stayed and some of the guests were staying overnight. They were noisy, which I guess is not unusual but the fight and subsequent police attendance outside our room between 1am and 2am was not ideal. To be fair to the hotel, this wasn't there fault, and matters did quieten down after we reported the incident to reception.
