“Very impressed”
Everyone was very friendly there and has been out of their way to make sure our stay was more than enjoyable. The fact that all staff was speaking English is to take in consideration as well as it made things much easier too. Will definitely recommend this Hotel to everyone I know.
“Definitely would go back”
The rooms are great. We had the top floor (13th) which I highly recommend. It was a non-smoking room and we had a king size bed. I would also recommend two twin size too. It was one or the other. I saw the twin size beds were a good size as well. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. We had free water and fruit and basic cable. You had all the basic things you needed for an incredibly affordable price for the four of us (2 kids and 2 adults). When you stepped out, there is a large mall about a 10 - 15 minute walk. In the morning, we walked out to these dim sum places that sold food outside. You'll also get a good variety of traditional Hong Kong breakfasts. The only cons I had with the hotel was no complimentary internet access or continental breakfast (and it was expensive if you wanted internet per night). We were also quite a distance away from the subway station (MRT). You had to learn how to take the free shuttle bus offered by the hotel (available once an hour) or the "small buses" that were available for a very affordable rate. Of course, you can always take the taxi which isn't too expensive to get to the nearest MRT - Kowloon Tong. The hotel is located in the old Hong Kong international airport. I would definintely go back because I am familiar with the transit system there. I am sure there are a lot of buses I didn't discover. There must be... the old international airport was there before.
“A reasonable hotel”
The Regal Oriental has seen better days, however it is being upgrded as I speak. My room was comfortable. I was upgraded to a king room when I arrived. there was a large lcd tv with many channels to choose from. The staff were always prompt and polite. The only drawback to this hotel is that is a bout 4km from Nathan Rd. there is ample and cheap public transport and also many cheap taxis to use. Overall I would rate the hotel 4/5.
“Regal Oriental Hotel at Christmas”
I tried another hotel in Hong Kong on my last trip, but shouldn't have--that is why I cancelled that reservation, and booked into the Regal Oriental again. The cleanliness, quiet, and charm of this place is unsurpassed. Also, I always get a good rate. There is a bar at the top of this hotel that is the most comfortable I have ever been in. I dream of going back, and will go back as soon as possible.
“I will stay at this hotel next time when I visit Hong Kong again”
I will stay at this hotel next time when I visit Hong Kong again. The staff are very helpful and courterous, good manner. very impressive with their services in general.
“worth its reasonable price”
Great hotel for its reasonable price. Excellent service: gave us baby crib and extra blankets right away upon request. Decent size room for Hong Kong.
“modern clean lovely hotel”
i loves this hotel as it was just a bus ride away from Kowloon main streets, but far enough away to feel off the beaten track. real authentic Kowloon at its best in this end of town. staff friendly and helpful. strange use of mirrors in rooms!! lovely stay
“This is a must stay!!!!”
This Hotel is fabulous. The views from the rooms are great. It's central location to so many of the wonderful things to do in Hong Kong is key to the excellent trip I had with my family. Please give the Regal Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong a look.
“Just right”
Although the hotel was away from all the hot spots, it was just right. Of course, all the attractions were a taxi or ferry ride away, so this made perfect sense for us on this trip. The concierge assisted with all our trip desires and proved to be very effective. We were very happy with this hotel -- perfect for such a reasonable price.
“Best Top Floor Bar in all of Hong Kong”
This hotel has the greatest top-floor bar in all of Hong Kong. It has comfortble couch seating with pillows, a great view, and karaoke. And it's never crowded. I wish I could go back right now.
