“excellent hotel-excellent location”
Ester Hotel overlooks nice square in Kazimierz, the Jewish quarter. Loads of nice bars/restaurants round the square and adjacent area and easy 10 mins walk to Rynek Glowny past Wawel Castle. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful-providing maps/phoning taxis etc. First floor corner room was massive with windows onto square-decor was fresh, clean, stylishly minimal with comfy beds and flat screen tv. Bathroom was especially high spec and modern. Overall I'd definately recommend this hotel and location to stay in Krakow
“Excellent Value for Money - the beds of beauty”
The hotel is situated in the Jewish Quarter in a pretty square. Ideal as it took about 3-5mins to walk into the main square. The room was clean and very aestheically pleasing. The beds were so comfortable. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definately go back and stay should I visit there again
“Very nice hotel!”
Very nice location in the Jewish quarter. The room was comfortable and spacious. The food was good and the service staff very friendly and eager to please. Very nice outdoor area for drinks and snacks. I recommend it!
“A Bit of Paris in Krakow”
Hotel Ester is in the center of Kazimierz. I had visited Kazimierz 15 years ago. It was a rundown part of town. Now it's a nightlife center full of outdoor cafes and Klezmer music. Hotel Ester was wonderful. It's a small pearl of a hotel with an amazingly good restaurant and cafe. Kudos to the Ester salad. I favored the Borscht. I was traveling with family, and booked two rooms - one with a full size bed (felt more like a very large queen), the other with twin beds. The rooms were beautifully appointed and quite large, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were modern. And, the air conditioning was easy to regulate. Breakfast is included. The breakfast buffet had enough to please all of us: herring for me, chocolate cold cereal for the younger ones, and very good coffee. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. They helped us book tours around Krakow and gave us walking directions to nearby sites, and they helped me make a local phone call. ( I don't speak Polish.) I highly recommend Hotel Ester. In fact, I've already recommended it to a friend who's visiting Krakow in the fall.
“Good place to stay.”
We found that the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and their English was excellent. The room we were given was at the back of the hotel which was large and comfortable but a shower would have been preferred to a small bath. The continental breakfast was excellent with a large choice of food including some hot dishes. One of the reasons for chosing this hotel was because of it's location outside the city centre which was a 20 minutes walk away although public transport is close and very cheap to use.In fact we found that most places of interest were only a short walk away and there are plenty of good restaurants in the neighbourhood.
“pleasant ly surprised”
delightfull little friendly hotel in quiet location ,nice room, good beds, decent bathroom, good food and service ,slightly marred on last day as two poached eggs arrived in glass tumbler, exscuse was new boy who didnt understand!otherwise a very pleasant stay
“Location! location! location!”
Perfectly located on the main square in Kazimierz--near restaurants (the hotel has a restaurant with klezmer entertainment), the synagogues of the Jewish quarter and a 10 minute walk over the bridge to the ghetto and the office of Schindler's factory--15 minutes from the Rynek. Despite the location, I did not hear noise once I was upstairs. Hotel is nicely maintained and clean with recent bathroom updates. As one person, I had a single on the 4th floor which meant schlepping a suitcase one flight (elevator goes 3 flights) and the room was small (part of a onetime attic I think) but it was fine. They have larger rooms on the other floors. A nice breakfast--cereal, yogurt, salads, etc. For my purposes, it was absolutely perfect.
“An excellent small hotel”
We chose this hotel on the basis of previous visitors' comments and we were not disappointed. It is in a quiet square, about 15 minutes' walk from the centre of the old town, but there is also a tram. It has its own restaurant and there is a choice of at least six others in the immediate area. The cold breakfast buffet offered a good choice and eggs, bacon etc were available on request. Our room was of ample size, with effective air-conditioning, a large bed, several chairs and a large flat-screen TV (no BBC, but CNN and Eurosport). The room and the bathroom were always spotlessly clean and it is difficult to find anything to criticise - oh yes, the door squeaked! The staff were always pleasant and helpful and we would certainly stay there again.
“Location, comfort and style”
Hotel Ester exceeded my expectations. The location was great, the staff were friendly and efficient, the room was lovely - clean, well presented and comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was delicious.
“Good hotel in Krakow”
Very pleasent hotel in a quiet area. Excellent breakfast and good evening meals in hotel restaurant. It is a brisk 15 minute walk into the centre of Krakow from the hotel along not very interesting streets. There are many bars, cafes and restaurants close to the hotel in the Kazimierz district. Friendly and helpful staff.
