“Great Hotel To Stary In Krakow”
This is the second time we have stayed here. We decided to return to the same hotel as the last stay was so good. The hotel is fairly close to the center in the Jewish Quarter. The hotel is fairly basic with only a TV in the room. The bathroom however was very well decorated and the beds very cosy. We found the breakfast to be pretty decent with a good selection. The staff were very pleasant and could not do enough to help having a good grasp of English.
“Good friendly hotel”
After an initial problem with the booking (when the hotel proposed to move us elsewhere), we were favourably impressed both with the hotel and the staff. The hotel is in a good location in the Jewish quarter and not far from Wawel Castle and the Old Town. The hotel was in a good condition and the rooms were very clean. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. They spoke English very well and provided an excellent service. The food in the restaurant was good but there are also good eating places nearby. We would recommend it and think that it is very good value for money.
“Good Location”
Efficient check in surprised receptionist did not point out there was a lift to our second floor room a bit tired after four hour train journey. We requested a front room after reading a previous review nice bright a bit too warm room but easy enough to have windows open although not at night a bit noisy in early hours. Very clean although bottles of water in room only available on first day. Lovely buffet breakfast friendly staff had dinner one night not great for vegetarian and some menus were only for specific nights not stated on menu. Our thanks to our receptionist who allowed us to check in for our flight next day.
“Would definitely go back”
The hotel was perfect for our requirements. It is in a quiet location away from the main crowds of Krakow but within a 15 minutes' walk to the Old Town. The staff could not have been more helpful and everywhere was kept clean and tidy. The local area has many good restaurants, though the prices do vary. I would certainly stay here again if I return to Krakow.
“Lovely hotel, We would stay here again.”
Excellent hotel. Our room was very clean with a lovely en-suite. Well located, 15-20 mins walk into the main market square. Loads of places to eat and drink close to the hotel. Hotel within 100 metres of the bus and tram stops. We would definitely stay here again.
“A good choice”
This is a well-run place. It's a relatively easy walk to the castle and the old market square, or an even easier tram ride. The complimentary breakfast buffet is a nice spread, and if your flight leaves before the buffet's 7 a.m. opening time, they'll even pack you a meal. That's a rare commitment to service. The hotel itself is nice. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and good with speaking English.
“Would Stay there Again!”
Clean hotel with friendly staff who spoke acceptable English. In a good position with loads of restaurants and bars nearby and although we were on the ground floor near the road this was no problem - no rowdiness or traffic noise. Cellar bar/restaurant lovely with arched ceilings and decent selection for breakfast. Although not in the central area of Krakow a 15 minute stroll takes you to the main areas of interest and we consider this hotel is ideally situated and if returning would book there again. Well done Regent!!! Tony and Shirley
“Convenience Itself!”
This was a good choice hotel that we would recommend to anyone. It was clean, good continental type breakfasts and the staff were very pleasant and helpful and spoke very good English. There are no tea making facilities, we knew this so we took our own. A hair dryer is available on request free of charge. The beds are two singles put together making it king size. It is conveniently situated. The nearest tourist information office is diagonally across the road, the nearest cash point is a 100 meters away, the nearest post box for your post cards home is 50 meters away and the nearest tram stop (Stradom) is less than 5 minutes away. A taxi ride to the hotel from the airport is about 70 zloty and the driver will expect a tip! But here is a cheaper alternative. At the airport exit, turn right and the nearest train station is a 5 minute walk away, (sometimes there is a courtesy that will take you there). Take the train from here to the Central Station (Krakow Glowny) at 4 Zloty per person. As a stranger in the city it is then best to catch a 15 zloty taxi ride, but for the more adventurous, you can catch the number 71 tram (among others) to the Stradom stop. The ticket from the driver is 3 zloty, and from this stop, ask for directions. You will fall in love with Krakow, there is something magical about it.
“great location”
We chose this hotel after reading other reviews, the location was great with plenty of bars and restaurants with great prices and shops all around, it was a 15 min walk to the main square passing wawel castle on the way. The breakfast was fine with plenty to choose from so you could always find something you liked and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the walls in the rooms are a bit grubby and could do with a lick of paint, Although the room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and linen.
“Great location, room needed a refurb”
Hotel is in a great location within walking distance of the old town square and Wawel Hill. Plenty of good restaurants and bars (Singer) only a few minutes walk away. The rooms were spacious but ours (102) needed a good clean - not filthy just a bit tired & grubby. The beds were very comfortable, however. Breakfast was served until 10am and was very good with cereal, toast, sausage & scrambled egg amongst other things. The staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English.
